When was the first time you saw a VIP Car in a US magazine? I was digging through some old magazines I had the other day, and I opened Modified: Luxury and Exotics from the May/June 2005 issue, and they have an article titled :"Running on Air", and also the September/October issue which covers a VIP Q45 owned by James Chen of Axis wheels. Anyone remember or have that issue? Thats the first I ever saw a VIP car in a US magazine, and thats the first car that really drew me to the scene. Just thought I'd share and get some feedback!

I felt that car to be an exe stlye. wasn't radical enough yet. maybe it has changed since then.

I agree. It does not have VIP feel even though its a VIP platform.

Is it the drop or the color that makes it more EXE style?

car was done too mild for VIP. I would have classed it as a EXE style. had just a mild drop and mild rims. but that was a start that alot of want. Lie i said, It could be alot further along now.

I still haven't sen a Vip car in a US mag...there was a car that was labeled Vip but wasn't (the owner actually posted here a while ago), that was in Performance Auto & Sound, then on the cover of the current Modified it says "Vip G35" but the only G35 is a twin turbo racing monster.

Yeah, I saw that also, and I was so disappointed, after reading the cover. I liked that Q, I thought that maybe with a lower drop and a few other subtle mods, it could be a pretty nice VIP Car. Are Wise Sports not VIP? I searched it, and I got this page ,under the "Black Dress": http://www.wisesports.co.jp/main.html; some of those cars seem to be pretty VIP. I could be mistaken, though!

those specific issues, or just in general?* depending on where you're at, you can try a japanese bookstore.* if you know the right people at a local bookstore, you might be able to get them to order it for you at a premium.* otherwise, you may just have to peruse the classifieds forums here on this site.
