SuperAutobacs has a fair bit of Garson stuff, they are in Odaiba.

Most of the other stores are not really accessible by train, but if you have a car the best bet is to look at a magazine and find the shops from that.

If you dont mind secondhand stuff (wont be much Garson there though), you can go to Hasegawa, which is not hard to get to by train:

Hi Dominik,

Superautobacs is close to Odaiba. It is a massive tourist attraction so there are lots of instructions out there http://apike.ca/japan_tokyo_odaiba.html
Autobacs is in Shinonome which is pretty close to odaiba, they can just ask somene when they get there

I hope it is a close friend if you are going to send them to Hasegawa, because it might take up a full day of travelling etc and the shop assistants there are not very helpful to foreigners
But its close to Hikawadai station on the Yurakucho Subway line (see the top left of this map http://www.johomaps.com/as/japan/tokyo/tokyo2_jpg.html)

Most car shops are not all that accessible by train, and its a big ask to get a (female) friend to go there for you unless they are also into cars!

Autobacs are like Pep Boys, they're all over the place. There's a pretty good UpGarage w/ tons of used wheels in / next to Inagi that I always hit up. There are tons of UpGarage locations too.

This could be a great thread if we had a nice list of shops and locations going for people who visit Japan. On my next trip I really want to hit up some VIP specific shops, even though the Autobacs I normally hit does have a good bit of VIP stuff, it's not the same.

I can try to update this when i get there in May, but last time Grant just drove me around everywhere lol...

For Garson stuff i think mirrors are like $50-100, dont know exact prices though
