I deal with cars with these type of doors on a regular basis, and I really hate it. Talk about sacrificing function over style, how cool is it to try to contort youself to get out of your car?

That bad huh? Even with 130degree doors? I figured with that much angle it should be easier

at first i was always annoyed of getting in my friends car to open them. with these types of doors, u just have to get used to it. its not that bad. if you're really interested in getting some, i can get u the universal type that requires welding. it comes with dual shocks that hold up to 150 lbs for each shock. send me a PM if you're interested.

Wow, that was fast! Looks good too, even though we see them all the time here, it still looks fresh on your car, good work!
What kit did you end up using?

I always thought suicide doors were cooler, Id love to just suicide the rear doors on my ls and keep the front ones normal, but im crazy :knuppel2:

I love how all those "lambo" door kits still require you to open the door in a normal matter for the first few inches... and how when in the up position, the doors can easily flop side to side because of that. But I suppose people don't care about the little details most of the time....

Thats mostly due to crap material to begin with. Thats allot of weight on the fulcrum and these guys are trying to push out kits for 999. Another point is that you have to swing the door out to clear the interior peices.

A lambo has concaved doors and interior to start. Also the concave and V cut allows them to lift and return in true virticle fashion. With out a ton of fab work this will never happen on a regular car door.

And that's just it though... no one bothers building a real lamborghini-type door. They all use the door kits (and as usual, the cheaper, the better!!), and it just looks silly imo to have the doors able to flop side to side when they're up. But most people just want that LOOK of it being up...

this may be a dumb question: how come you open the door and get out the car from the garage?
