double din dvd nav in a 1st gen Ls400?

hey im lookin to put a kenwood double din dvd nav system in my 94 LS400 and iv been to a bunch of places and some have said that there would be no custom work need and some have said that there would be. im looking do the instal myself caz im not paying an extra $200+... so i was wondering is any1 has done this and could help me out
