ok i dont get why my post for my grand opening on clublexus was deleted but here is what i got from the admin:
Aint this some stoopid ish :uglystupid2:
Hi Freddy,
Please refrain from promoting your business on CL. You need to be authorized vendor to do that.
I'm removing your online flyer, please do not repost it.
Thank you for understanding.
Elizabeth
My Response:
I was promoting my grand opening for the shop and that was the flyer. I wasnt selling anything just wanted people to come to the grand opening. Is that wrong? We never had a official grand opening and was inviting CL members. I guess everyone else can put up events and i cant. I think that is pretty messed up and if i was wrong for letting people know that we are having our grand opening and giving CL and its members a invite to come meet and greet then its fine we dont want CL there if thats the case.
thanks alot,
Freddie

Sorry I can't side with you here bro, but you are promoting a shop unauthorized on an internet forum. They are just afraid that if there's bad blood between u guys and the visiting cl customers, then their name would be at stake...
Not everyone is as open and welcoming as us here u know hehe...

If you were just having a car meet at Autobacs thats diffrent.......... they all know its your shop so its like saying Hey come buy from me !!
Lots of nice folks on there that also come on here. They are NOT the Admin so dont hate those that had nothing to do with your post. Telling the Admin you dont want CL there whats that have to do with rest of the guys
If you would have just emailed those from CL that you know they could have spread the word.
If they let you put that up I would give them shit for giving me shit in the past. Hey at least they are no favoring anyone.

I'm not a CL member but sometimes it cost money to run a forum. If you're using their site to "advertise" your grand opening while not paying them some sort of fee, its just like milking them. :)

Agree with JT. I'm not sure why your complaining. It's obvious you would be getting free advertising by posting the flyer and the event. They cracked down on me hard as well when I had to a link to my used wheel business in my sig.

CL is a business and not just an enthusiast forum like ours, they are strict on free advertising since that's their main source of income. Eventhough your intentions are good, to them it's just another way of advertising for free.

Oh yah i can understand that if i was selling something on the forum then it would be wrong for it. I didnt know that posting up a event would be a problem. Oh well!
