Hi,

I have an 18x8.5 in the front and an 18x9.5 in the back. I want to put stretched tires on them. I was thinking about a 215/40/18 on the front and a 225/40/18 in the back. Would this be an agressive stretch? I was also considering a 205/40/18 in the front and a 215/40/18 in the back. Should i go with a smaller side wall? or a larger one?

I want the stretch to look agressive. The car isnt a daily driver. It will only be driven to shows, or events.

If someone has pictures that they could post i would appreciate it

Thanks,
Ankur

It would help to know what car you have, the wheels' offsets, and how much camber you can run.

sorry. It's a 1990 240sx hatchback. -2 degrees of camber, and +33 offset all around.

The only problem I see with running stretched tires with your offsets is that the wheels will appear more 'sunken' on the car. Visually, I think the car will want a set of spacers to make it look perfect.

Toyo makes the T1-R in several neat sizes now. If you want a short, stretched look, go for 205/35-18 + 235/30-18. I have the 235/30-18 on the back of my first-gen MR2 on an 18x9 and it already has a pretty decent stretch to it. It would be killer on 18x9.5!

If you want something taller, the size you mentioned would look nuts!
