I just finished putting the coilovers and wheels on, rolling the fenders, and playing with the alignment. I am really tired and don't have the patience to try and take decent pics (not that i can anyways). But whatever, snapped these at sheetz while i ate breakfast..lol
Suspension:
HKS Hipermax
Anyways, I tried out the wheels from my 240 to get an idea of what I can run on this car.
Here are the specs: (for like the millionth time, since they are eventually on every car i own..lol)
18x9 +13 225/40
18x10 +7 245/40
Fender mods:
Front: None.
Rear: Rolled lip completely flat, then pulled about 3-5mm (nothing noticable...at all)

Damn, that looks awesome! Looks like you could even take some of that camber off, or even get a bit more aggressive with the fitments! (not that it doesnt look great as-is)

best wheel / suspension set up on a first gen in the states! :o
very nice and aggressive. your lucky to own some aggressive wheels. this way you can measure exactly where you want to be.
looks sick, even for 18's, damn :o

Holy crap! I still like the '147 the best of all the GS body styles... there's just something elegant and timeless about it (It was designed by an Italian!). Fitment looks terrific- I'm guessing you cranked the camber adjusters all the way in...
My brother has a '147 on Eibachs and KYBs. I hate the way it sits (not low enough), but he is fairly content with it since he is dropping tons of dough into his AE86 right now. With the Eibach/KYB combination, I find the front suspension can bottom over large dips and undulations. Are the HKS a short-stroke set-up? How's the ride? Kenji over at GReddy had a '147 on Tein coilovers and it rode like a dump truck! I've heard good things about the HKS coilovers, though.
I'm always a little shocked at the offsets you guys come up with. I put 20x10.5 +40 with 295/30-20 on the rear of my brother's 147. I rolled the fenders and they still rub over large dips, but we have the camber set as positive as possible to save the tires (it's his daily driver, and we have to put new rubber on it every 12 months as it is).
Smaller overall diameter stretched tires + massive drop + negative camber = a great look!

Actually the last shots seem to show that it is pretty much perfect the way it is...
Does it rub much like that? Does the GS have 2-layers on the inside of the fender or do you just need to roll the fender with a normal rolling tool?

No rubs in the rear, a little rub up front, but the fenders haven't been touched up front yet.
When i order wheels for it, I think i'm going to go with 19's and use a little higher offer in the rear. I don't think that much neg. camber looks as good as it did on my Q. It's around -4 or -5 right now.

I think the camber looks amazing. The fitment looks great. If I were you I would try to keep that fitment.
Great wheels and suspension always trump wald. ;) :o

I think the 18s look great with no kit. 19s might over power the car if you don't end up with a body kit. How are you adjusting camber ?
I look forward to seeing your next wheels. The VSKF are a sporty wheel IMO.

That's really hot. The VSKF reminds me of the classic Cragar SS muscle car wheel, but the fitment looks so right, it's actually a pretty cool look for the GS!
I hope 19s don't look too big...I think that looks pretty good right there
Damn you move quick I like. :o Your fitment is sick and Im digging the 18's too very nicely done.

Well, it kinda just fell into my lap. I mean, i got the car, the tails, the visors, and the coilovers within the first week. Then I put the stock wheels from the GS on my s14 cause it'll be in the paint shop for a bit.. so I decided it'd try em out and get an idea of what wheel size/fitment I wanna go with. :-)

wow lynchburg? thats what 10 hours away? lol never been out there.
yah i've been saving. i traded the exhaust for a wald 3 piece spoiler. ended up selling that. i can't keep to one thing. sooner or later i will have my mind made up and by that time i will do everything at once.

haha that's cool I'll give you a call next tie I'm in town. I have a few friends with various years of GS's I usually hang out with there, Lynchburg is only an hour 1/2 away from richmond. not too bad.

That's correct. HKS coilovers, rear fenders are rolled with an ever-so-slight pull, not even noticable unless you're pretty familiar with the GS fenders. Front fenders are untouched and slightly rubbing the liners.

then I have maximum respect for him to achieve that sort of stance on the rear. Also means the car must look awesome when rolling at that height.
