Hey guys. Im Cade, and well. haha.* I've been browsing for awhile.* When I first found out about this forum, I tried to register, but I had a bunch of problems (AOL address), and ended up giving up since I couldnt figure out how to contact the admins.* But it hit me, to just use my yahoo addy -- and here I am!* :laugh:

Right now I drive a Black 93 Mazda Rx7 Touring (Black & Red leather interior).* Its about to be out of the shop once again from *another* rebuild, but soon it will be under major transformation. Its main purpose has been drifting, but will be tuned with a hence of vip styling (lowoffset VIP Jline's anyone?) :smitten:. But Im soon to pick up a daily, so Im about to pretty much make it my track car that I occassionally take out on the streets.*

The daily Im most likely gonna get is gonna be my more oriented VIP car.* Im kinda torn, I really really wanted a Previa. But along with it being my daily, the main purpose was for me to pick up somthing newer with really good gas mileage.* So most likely Im gonna go with a xA or Yaris, just because I really havent seen near as many tuned xA's as I have xBs.* So gotta keep things fresh.* 8)* *But for the record, I really respect you Previa/Estima (and all vans also) owners out there. Wish I was in a position to shell out the money to maintain/tune one, but thats life.

Err. Thats about it.* One last thing; What are the major sites you guys browse for mods? other than wheels.* I've only gotten around to reading forums and endless amounts of pics.* None of the shops I know carry mods for xA's & vans. hah.* :D* So yeah.

Much appreciated.

Welcome! Wow an FD3S owner! Any pics? I was almost going to take over ownership of my cousin's 94 R2 model since we both worked on the car for 4 long and labor intensive years since he was low on funds but I backed out because no matter how much money and time we put into it, the enjoyment we got out of the car just wasn't enough to make all the effort and money worth while. After 70K miles, It went through a complete rebuild using a Cosmo block. We ran a V-mount intercooler setup and single turbo since we didn't want to deal with the costly sequential rebuild. No matter what we did to the car, it always ran hot and just made it very nerve wracking to drive around on long trips so we sold it and lost quite a bit of money. That thing handled like it was on rails though! Oh well. How's yours running?

thanks for the welcome.

Here are pics of my FD. This is the 2nd rebuild. The first one was kinda odd (pebble got sucked in through my intake & into my engine and busted the seals). So Im giving the rotary one more shot, then after that Im going Ls1. haha I hope rx7club doesnt see this. :police:

She is ugly right now, but soon will be sporting GP Sports Kit, +20mm front fenders, Roof spoiler, Cage, Superdrift coilvers, low offset J-Line VIPrl2' wheels & a bunch of other goodies. So she will have a whole new look & feel. Its a aggressive streetport by GothamRacing, and has all its reliability mods, Apexi PFC Standalone, etc. Makes a very very smoothe linear powerband prob around 340rwhp or so.

Here are some pics from awhile back:

yeah we considered going the LS-1 route on ours too (and LS-6 if we could source it) but something just isn't right about that. I mean the whole point of the FD is the rotory power in my opinion but I don't think rx7club will flame you since there are several LS-1 FD's over there that are very well put together. Heck not having to crawl under the car to change fouled plugs every 8K miles is worth it alone HAHA. Why don't you try a 20B setup before going to LS-1?

The only thing I like about what I have right now is how smoothe the transition & powerban is. I'm by far any kind of purist, of any sort. That will be the only thing I will miss, but hopefully will adapt to the opposite setup (no TQ vs. gobbs of TQ). So it doesn't really phase me, either way. 20B? haha more money than I wanna spend really, esp. for another rotary. Im not sure, but that cant be any lighter than what I have in there, and the Ls1 is lighter than what I have now, so that works out well.

About the J-Lines, I dont think I've ever been more hyped up over wheel. My first love was VSKFs, but then a local friend ended up getting them. Then I tried to get the rare 18" WORK Equips 01 5 spokes, but they are discontiuned. Then I went on a search, and found this wheel and will complete the style I want. I'm gonna be pretty happy with my wheel setup, esp compared to most FD owners who always run stock +45 Offset and refuse to pull/roll their fenders :buck2:.
I got the wheel specs from Calvin Wans personal FD3S, so I should have a similar stance to this;
