Big thanks goes out to Dennis (PMP-LEX) for the wheels and extremely fast shipping. The wheels are 19x9 +22 and 19x10 +22. So far I have done the rear fenders, so enjoy the pics.

I am worried about one thing right now...the tub inside the fender sits super low and it curves toward the outside, so I can't have the tire tucking as much I wanted to. I will try to see how I can get more clearance for the tire...I've seen Japanese guys tuck their tires so the fender sits on the rim, so I know it's possible.

On some cars. .( most) if you're running an extremely stretched setup.. the fender can easily be clearanced to the wheel/tire, but then you run into problems of rubbing up in the inner fender. . I think thats what you're talking about. .Usually what i use is a BFH. . something with a nice rounded face. . but heavy. .. . you can get a LOT of extra clearance that way. but you have to do it in combination with the roller cuz sometimes when you a hit spot on the inner it will pull the outer down with it as it stretches..* Just go around on the inside beating the shit out of the curved inner. .* it will square out nicely to clear the tire. . . you dont see any of the BFH work so its easy to make it look good on the outside with the roller. . I had to do this BIG TIME on the JZX90 I did . . was running like a 10.5J-0 or sum shit. . with a 235/40. . I pulled it like 30mm at least. .past the super shit JDM roll it had previously . .the outer fender was so mangled after..(its a drift car. .)* . . But we got it on and it dont rub no more.

You dirty dog.......thats so damn sweeeet 8)

hehe I couldn't pass up a good deal. My CC company loves me :'( . I will wait with beating my inner fenders for now. Once I get the tires mounted...I will check my clearance first, and then start hammering away.

unless you decide to run super fatty tires, you will find that the slight fender rolling is all you will need to do to accomodate those fitment wheels.

i like the look of it
plans for aero?
i like the stock body, but i think the rear u can go wider if u chose to
height isnt bad, still a daily and i wouldnt go lmuch lower unless i had air ride or bags to adjust
nice accepting kit would look real nice, bring the car together

Today I was allready scraping the lower engine cover...oh well. I am not going to push the wheels out, but I will readjust the camber a little bit, so I don't go through tires every 6 months...this will also bring the top of the tire closer to the fender. Overall if you look at it in person, the rim is flush with the fender.
As for aero...once my credit cars are paid off, I will definately finish up the outside with a kit.

what kinda suspension u rollin on now ?
I really like the fittment, for some reason it looks more better than CHUPACABRIO Work wheels. I don't know what it is, maybe it's lower ?

I'm using JIC SF-1 or SA-1 whichever one is 5-way adjustable. I think it looks different because of the offset and definately the height.

GREAT JOB! The difference is in your stance. Everything looks great man! Good job building a clean VIPcar. I wouldnt do anything else to it unless your planing on doing shows or things like that. I would just drive it everywhere and show it off to the world. hehe. Great job!

I think the next step is to get my tails cleared...might do it this sunday. Get my fog light replaced...should be done next week. The last thing I want to do at this moment is redo my exhaust...let the car breathe a little better.

DAMMIT! I should of never sold those wheels to you...makes me smile everytime i see them on a y33...anyways, glad you're happy with them...At least they're in great hands now...make sure you take good care of them!
so why do you have gay hawaii plates? j/k...
PMP-LEX
07-30-2006, 04:58 AM
I also forgot to mention that you didn't need to roll your fenders...when i was on air, it cleared the fender by ~2mm when my layed the car on the ground with airrunners...and i was running the same tires you were...i think mine were 245's in the front though...I can't stand to see other Q's running a higher offset...no matter what is done to them like air, kit, whatever, it still won't get my stamp of approval...you definitely made a great choice...practical, yet agressive...

HAHA ladies legs are on order...the last mail-order bride got lost in the mail hehe. First I need some puddle lights because they always have those in the pictures. :)
what kind of camber and toe adjustment are you running? like what kind of control arms and rods?
Dark Anghell
08-02-2006, 10:03 AM
what kind of camber and toe adjustment are you running?* like what kind of control arms and rods?
All suspension components are OEM, except for the coilovers. I would imagine that I'm running close to 3* of camber in the back and maybe .5* in the front. I will have the allighnment done in the next few weeks and have the rear set to about 1.25* and keep the front as is...also will set the toe to OEM settings.
sweet. thanks for the reply and by the way your car looks just perfect ;)

Did you have to pay a core charge for the spindles and then send them back? Or is that just an issue with F50 coilovers?

I got lucky and found a set of used ones right here in US, so I still have my original suspension including the spindle sitting around my house.
