I average anywhere between 20-24, depending on my driving style.

On my last trip I had an average of 22-23MPG, and that's driving at 70-80MPH the whole way. In the city I get somewhere around 19-20MPG. My mileage went up after I switched to fully synthetic oil.

But like my friends and I always say "you gotta pay to play"

around 20 mpg is pretty damn good for a 8 banger.

I'm averaging about 16 mpg local and 22 highway on a lousy 3.5 liter 6 banger, Not only am I getting lousy fuel economy, the engine performance is lousy, only 240 hp.

It pisses me off because I have worse fuel economy vs 8 bangers such as q45 and LS400's.

I'm getting around 15-17 mpg in the city and 20-24mpg on the highway. Managed to get 23mpg doing a constant 90mph on a 500 mile roundtrip.

Seems really low. I wonder why?

Seems correct to me. Are you sure your calculations are correct? I calculate mine exactly to how much gas is filled up and the exact mileage inbetween. 20-24 in the city seems very high for this car, considering it was rated from the factory lower than that, and todays standard of gas you wont get what the ratings put out.

Yes sir I sure am..I duno why your not though..I use premium unleaded and fill it up all the way. Once it gets to half a tank I fill it up again.I have been doing this
for 11 months now and the same everytime. Try it. if it don't work I dont know what to tell you, but even the other guys are getting better

I t depends on how you drive...I drive like a grandma, so when I start moving I accelerate very slowly. But if I just gun it at every traffic light or up the hill I can literally see my gas gauge go down hehe. I just recalclulated more recent mileage and I'm getting around 16-17 around the city...that's with 265 series rubber though.

So you're calculating the mileage based on the 1/2 ful mark on the gas gauge? That might be why you got such a high number.

Yes I am. If you fill up your tank and drive a half way you will get a higher gas milage vs when you fill her up
at the end of the tank. The reason is this. for 1) gas evaporates the longer it sits in your tank ( 2) when running you tank till the
end you are sucking more air (fumes) than full. My father was a mechanic and he is the one that told me to
do this. We have been for years and it pays to do this. Try it I swear you get better gas milage. Example.
I usually drive anyware from 160-175 miles on a half a tank of gas. if it takes 7-8.5* gallons to full back up depending it you toped off.
well 175 miles* devided by 8.5 gallons = 20.5* miles per gallon and that is with my wheels on and on the low end. IF you do this 5 times in
a row you will see that your average gas milage is steady...its basic math man.....just to let you know as well when I do an average from full to empty
I am 19 -20mpg every time just so you know that I did try it I just prefer to get 20-22 mpg........... ::)

^^scratch the city mpg.

I'm rarely on the streets so I don't have a good number for that.
Using Premium fuel, fuel conditioners, and Full synthetic oil. Gonna try the filling at half tank trick. See if I can get more miles. Theory seems right. A small amount of gas does evaporate faster than a large amount.
