View Full Version : Do Falken FK452's run big or Falken ST115's run small?

So I recently replaced my 235/35/19 ST115's on 8.5's for FK452's of the same size and now the lip doesn't expose as much. I'm pissed that I didn't do the research to realize they weren't the same size even though they are both 235/35/19's. I haven't taken a pic of how they look now, but to me they're disgusting, no stretch and almost buldging. I mean, I'm not trying to go for big stretch, but I didn't think they would be bigger. I think to achieve the same fitment, I'm thinking 225/35/19s for the FK452's would look like ST115 235/35/19's. What do you guys think? I would go evne more and go with Falken FK452 215/35/19's for the 8.5's, but my 9.5's have FK452 265/30/19's and the rears won't be as stretched. Its not that I need the big stretch right now, but it is something I've been thinking about. To match the fronts if the fronts were 215/35/19's, what should the rears be with all tires being FKk452's?

ST115 235/35/19 on 8.5 (not much stretch, slightly exposes the lip if seen from the front and rear)

FK452 235/35/19 on 8.5 (no stretch, flat sidewall)

that is too bad :(* *Different construction than the ST115.* They always look more stretched than other tires of the same size.

I miss the ST115 even more now.* *

whats the point of stretch if you dont need it to fit your wheels? get some spacers on there and then start complaining ;)

Very true. I dont need to really stretch the tires, but I do prefer how they look vs what I have now; these flat-walled tires that seem to make my wheels look smaller. I know my widths are on the conservative side, but I'm happy enough with +7 offsets, so spacers will come later if I decide to lower the car more.

Look for tires with squarier corner tread blocks, and larger rim protector bands... they give you the more aggressive looking stretches
