After a number of poeple telling me the front of the car is too high I dropped it another 1/2"...fixed the rear camber a little (one side was 5* and the other was only 2.7*...don't know how that happened). Anyway here we go:

haha I know, but it is my daily driver and I allready scrape on most speed bumps. I have to see what I can do under the car to get more clearance...the probles lies in the catalytic converters and the mufflers...I guess when I'll be redoing my exhaust I will try to make more clearance. Then I will lower it another 1/2~3/4".

That's the problem, there is a speed bump at my place that I have to go over in order to wash my car, and I was allready scraping badly on it. Then there's another one at a big shopping area (one stupid speed bump out of 30 they have there* >:(). Once again, the car will go lower when the exhaust gets replaced.

As for going air...I am a college student...I can't afford that stuff ;D . In about a year (fingers crossed) this car will be completed within a month or two. Then I may go air.

They are 19x9 +25 and 19x10 +22. I am going to space out the front wheels by at least 10mm. Possibly 20mm. The rears might get spaced out as well by 5~10mm.

Speaking of spacers, tried your wheels on yesterday *sorry :-X* and the rear tires wobbled like crazy. So Shawn and I had to crawl back to my garage and find out what was wrong.

I found out that the lugs werent catching all the way and it didnt tighten the first time I did them. Dumped the car and the fronts rub the fenders real bad.... :2funny: cant get any love man, its time for air.

:knuppel2: >:( :knuppel2: :tickedoff: :knuppel2: hahaha Thats fine I don't care if you drive on them or not. Try the good old hammer method and persuade the wheels to fit. Are the tires rubbing on the fender itself or the inner liner? If its the fender, you can remove the spacers.
Oh and post some pics.

i took some pics of my 240 there before when i had it.. hahaha nice choice on where to take the pics.. although instead of dark you shoulda taken it when it was just getting dusk.. especially when its partly cloudy because the sun catches the clouds and turns it that pink or orange or whatever color and it reflects off your car and gives it a nice color.. maybe ill get to meet you on sunday..

Nice Pavel...I thought they were +22 all around? no? Anyways, I never get tired of seeing a Y33 with those style rims...just fits like a glove...

Pagong, those rims hit the front fender on your UCF10? How did the rears fit? Would it fit with stretch tires?

*sigh*, I should have never sold those rims...would have looked so perfect with on the UCF10

No not those wheels :) I dont think Pavel will let me borrow those since he just got them..

I borrowed his old set of 17's with the 4x4 tires on them...and I think I lowered my car too low. Okay let me rephrase that
the LS was on the ground and the spacers he had on them pushed them out and made it rub when I turn, or should I say
I cant even turn the car ;D

Had to turn a bit, then back up then turn a bit then back up again....Then Shawn ran behind the car to find out what the noise was and found out the rear driver side wheel was wobbling really bad. :(

Imma try it again this weekend for the meet though.

How about I photoshop them on Vinces car? Almost the same as actually trying them on ;D

Vince, just make sure the spacers are super tight first, then put the wheels on. Unless...unless your hubs are larger size than whats on my Q. Then they would wobble for sure.

this has got to be the magic numbers for the Y33.

the fit and lip is just oh so perfect.

Dark Anghell
08-20-2006, 09:32 PM
nah...the magic numbers would be 19x9 +15 19x10 +20. That's with camber being fixed, so that it's within spec. If you run some camber up front and in the rear, you can go with 19x9 +0 and 19x10 +10 easily.

Not really, I look at it like your still 1 step ahead of me with coilovers vs my TEIN springs. I have no problems with being twins, your on the other side of the states anyway, but if you were in my town, I'd still ask you to go cruising to any of the local events and meets. It would be cool to have another vipcar in the area. I hear ya on the daily driving with the lower setup. I know my roads, but I do travel with my car sometimes, so theres always unknown territory for me, even when my usual daily roads have these random repaving and uneven pavements. I've been watching a few JIC auctions, just waiting for the right price and condition before I place that bid to get my coilovers. Anyway, your car is looking awesome as usual, I like the pics.
