i think when the previas (estima) in north america is ready then maybe we should start one. however i think shawn is probably the only one going to be set.

well import mini-vans/wagons in general are not looked at something to be seriously modifyied on this side of the pond.. North american mentality on mini-vans is like a piece of furniture= practical but boring to look at anywho.i got some shares of people telling me why modify a mini-van its point less?? but you also get people that appreciate your uniqueness

well i think the wagonist culture albeit VIP styles,Euro styles or Sporty styles is going to eventually recognized here in North america as what import tuning and drifting are now.....

this is exactly why i want to do it. plus look how mini-vans/wagons look when they're all done up. your mpv is nice. u know they have airrunner for your mpv right? its not on the site but i have it in my catalogue.

I'm sure that this idea would be accepted more in some areas than others. *For example: *California would be much more receptive to a group of high-powered, rade-style minivans than, let's say...TEXAS! *I believe, however, *that a well-built machine(no matter what make/model) could impress anyone. *

Imagine this scenario:

Your cruising the Interstate or any long, smooth, uninterrupted stretch of asphalt...a ground-hugging sports car accelerates to catch up to your low-slung people hauler. *He glides up to your passenger side wondering..."what the hell is a Fast Egg?" *He is amused by seemingly pointless aerodynamic enhancements that you have added. *With a smirk on his face, he turns to make a sny comment to his passenger who responds by leaning forward to sneer at your van. *They both chuckle and shake their heads with pity as the driver mashes the pedal - only to realize that you're not yet in his rear view mirror. *In a moment of confusion, he checks his gauges for signs of malfunction. *Befuddled, he turns to you as he widens the throttle further. * He hears your once inaudible exhaust come alive as you continue to match his rapidly increasing speed. *His passenger begins to instigate-leaning forward once again - this time with his eyebrows raised and jaw hanging! *You can read his lips as he mutters "Daaayuuuuum!" *The driver reaches for the "Go-Baby-Go" button...

For a van to be called "Fast", it must be proven! *

Now how about you contact the Fast Egg club in Japan before taking thier name? They hold thier reputation high, and not anyone can just join. Show some respect.

You would be surprised, but Houston and Dallas have very large tuning cultures that Im sure would have no problem accepting Vans. The ignorant, new, or biased folks may have an issue, but you will run into them everywhere.

thanks ...as you know its an on going project..its a slow project at one due to other obligations such as my house mortgage for one, its not the way it used to be when all my hard earn cash goes to the car ;) yeah i heard some air suspension and coils for the mpv which i would like to have because i like to raise my van during winter months and low on summer i'm interested at the "air cobra" or the "TEINS super wagon" setup its just to bloody expensive..if anyone can hook me up for a used one in good workng condition it would be nice... ::)

as for modifying my van i got scoffed at mostly by young punks who are wannabe tuners.... case in point once this punk >:( look at my ride and just had this what the f@$k is that.....i looked at his civic all i see is some 16" no name rims, obviosly cut stock springs, and some fart can....which he thinks would make him fast and bad ass :D :2funny:

i'm pretty sure that fast egg members or NEF members would accept foreign members although you guys would miss out on their "off report"...it would be a good exposure for them as well because funny thing most japanese carclubs want some USDM or North american stuff for their cars i.e gas cap in english. air bag warnings in english....because i see that with MPV club members in japan (M-styles http://mpv-m-style.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ ) its just funny how we here want to get more JDM for our ride but in japan they want USDM* stuff ???

it's got 113HP max, a stock civic has more than that. its automatic. its a van, so it weighs a lot. it's not fast. the only fast van is that dodge caravan, the one that beat the camaro haha.

if you want to start a "team," why not use an original name instead of just taking something that already exists?
oh yah, speaking of weights, my previa came in at around 3640 (hmmm, or was it 3460) with a half tank of gas and no spare tire if I remember correctly. not too bad, but not too good. then again, it shouldn't matter because it's just made to be driven around town, not as a race car

that caravan was the the first generation no back seats and gutted out and it was turboed ....and it was built purposly for just drag racing....
as for my van i just love the 200 lbs of torque at 3G's and the van only weighs 3.6lbs i've surprised some new oddy and seinnas owners off light and this newer vans claims they got 220-240hp jack

to the original topic, i think that a wagon club in the states would be pretty cool honestly...thats why me, dajap, and thedanger started style bB for the japanese xB enthusiasts, but we honestly have tried to keep it pretty closed in honestly...less drama, and its just a group of close friends ;)

but if someone wanted to start a nationwide wagon club (don't know if you want to keep it stricly closed to previas/estimas), but i would be interested in helping out as much as i can, and i'm sure the rest of the eastcoast peeps feel the same ;)

Correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is that the term "Fast Egg" is in relations to Supercharged Previas'. Not saying that if your Egg is not Supercharged it is not fast. That is what they originally meant when they first made the term "Fast Egg"=Supercharged. Just my 2 cents.

fasteggs is just a club name because the estima looks like an egg.... and the whole fasteggs thing is dead in japan because got new and better cars. personally im more into an all vip club instead of limiting to a certain type of van that theres just a handfull of people fixing up here for a club. there woudnt be any meets or anything.

:( i just wanna feel what it's like to drive the supercharged previas.. cause my NA is pretttttttttty slow.. hahahahaha :uglystupid2:

i rock a "support vehicle" for my team, sticker on my previa.. :D

Well supercharged does not feel any different from the N/A one but you do hear a winding or screeching sound when you gun it. I have an N/A but my Uncles Previa Is S/C, no difference. well i know about 3 or so people im the bayarea that have these vans and it would be cool to see some of these at HIN or NightShift

You might want to release the e-brake on the SC'd Previa you drove. :D

+23 hp / +47 lb-ft on similar cars (which they are) will definitely make a difference.

BTW, my friends '96 DX is noticebly quicker than my '95 LE (both SC'd), so maybe you drove a bad running example. I'm hoping some fresh plugs & wires will wake mine up a bit.

hey, all-trac S/C's are pretty fast. my friend beat an auto 90 accord Lx with one. pretty bad at that, too. lol.

(I know, I know... old topic, but...)

I have big love for the Previa. I've been thinking that after the wagon project is done, I might pick one up.
