hey guys, thanks for all your comments and PMs about my mode parfume kit, since my other thread contains a lot of thread-jacking and non-topic related commentaries, here's a clean, fresh thread to showcase this kit... thanks again to HIGH SOCIETY VIP for bringing into the US for me and without further delay, enjoy the pics! please keep your replies on this thread on-topic and related to the style, fitment, design and anything else related to this body kit... thanks!* ;)
i gotta say, the mode parfume is BY FAR the best body kit i've ever owned in my life. the 2nd being Abt and the 3rd being Oettinger. the fitment is SUPERB and the fenders all line up and the predrilled holes all lines up w/the OEM/stock holes. there is NO MODDING, NO SHAVING, NO SANDING necessary. all my customers and people who drove by this past wknd were impressed and amazed... thanks to all those who came by the shop and/or for helping me out w/the installation. couldn't have got it on there without you guys' help. we XK brothas are XK*for life. the whip went into the spray booth this morning for custom body/fender work and paint...i took the sides and the rear bumper off to transport it to the paint shop. i'll post up more pics of the finished product once the paint is dried and after the wet-sanding :) VR, mikey

that looks awesome!!! One question though...how much lower is that bumper compared to the OEM one?
why thank you sir... oh shoots, i didn't measure the stock height before putting on the front kit and since i have air runners, i never really took notice. i can tell you that in comparison to the stock bumper, the mode parfume is much lower and sculpted a lot more pronouncedly on the front lip side and on the bottom when it meets the side skirts. the kit just flows man, the front to the sides to the rear.... Do you have any pics of the rear and sides? *Did you even put those pieces on? *How do you know if the kit fit 'superb' if you didn't put on the rear and sides? *When are you going to mount your switches for your airrunners?
And what do you mean 'custom body/fender work'? *Are you gonna widebody your Q? *
You probably won't answer my questions because you ignored me on the other forums...that's okay...just reflects your expertise...
Mike, I hope you really finish this car and not sell it...you have such a nice color scheme and kit to sell it...I just want to see one fully built car come out of your shop, that will be sweet! *So far, it's coming along beautifully...

Its would be cheaper and easier for me to source my own kits from Japan, since i am in Australia ;)
Oh, and Y33 was never released here. Its technically allowed to be imported; but the costs are high for low demand cars (as opposed to skylines/stagea's etc), so nobody has bothered yet
Hence why i was jealous!

I don't get it. Seriously, can someone fill me in to this never follow stuff? I mean, to me, never follow means to build something NEVER built before...not just never built state side, I mean if that's the case then some of us did that long ago. I'd say what is done here is never original. Sorry Mikey, I mean I'm sure it will look nice and all, but it's just not creative...so on that note to each his own. Of course you won't respond to this due to your blah, blah, blah...but hey, I was civil with my response. At least give me that much.

it's more original than your C klass that is FOR SURE.
I'd rather do a older model 89+ E class than mess with a girly C class. That's the car that all the girls go for when they are broke but want to bling. that's a girls car. That's the car of choice for girls that charge up their LV purse that they can't afford.
Please, don't dog on other's before you take a good look at yourself.

Z common yes, 2+2 twin turbo Z in america..VERY uncommon. Final Konnexion Z32 in USA..one. So I'd say it's as uncommon as you could get.
Your point is moot, nice homework.

I don't even understand what is going on anymore, is this little bash because of the Never Follow comment Mike made a while back (he also said the car was going to look really nice) but seriously can this crap stop, and for god sakes can some one explain the "never follow" stuff, I thought maybe it was on MP's website but I didn't see it anywhere (it does have a nice VIP business slogan ring to it.) that to me was the only way that never follow stuff made sense.

I am very calm right now and I am not just typing things out of hate or for being pissed off. I stated the "never follow" comment because it didn't make sense. It's an Audi campaign slogan:
www.neverfollow.com (http://www.neverfollow.com)
Now this would make sense with his Audi, but certainly not with this car. I was trying to understand it otherwise.

That's why I posted the weblink. I do understand the Audi part, but he uses that as his own slogan for more than just the audi, not just because he has an audi. That is what we were trying to figure out. My other member was pointing out that he was copying the Mode demo car which is what he's done on most of his recent cars...hence the irony. Isn't that following? I'm not trying to be a dick, I just don't understand the logic. Maybe Pimplux_A4 should chime in to end the confusiion and maybe change his screen name too. I'm sure Will would appreciate that.

Thank you for your input. You can't deny that I have a wealth of knowledge. My info may not always agree with you, but it doesn't give you the right to have at me each time I post something. You should know better since you're a more senior member of this forum. Do you really think you're the only gaijin to ever live in Japan who was into cars? I'm just trying to say that I came on here with knowledge, but since i was new and had a low post count I was instantly unknowledgable...which is rediculous. If that's the mentality of this place then I really don't belong here and i belong on a forum with open minded more experienced people. I have helped people on this forum, on several occasions. The only time this crap comes up is when someone feels they have to challange me to a gumtape death match. I mean come on. There's nothing wrong with keeping people in check..it's the internet. Hell, you might be a chick and we'd never know it! (don't take offense, I'm not calling you a chick, it was just an example).

I understand you have a wealth of knowledge and I'm sure the other members are happy to have you here. I just hope everything from now on will be on the positive :coolsmiley:

Thank you for your input.* You can't deny that I have a wealth of knowledge.* *My info may not always agree with you, but it doesn't give you the right to have at me each time I post something.* You should know better since you're a more senior member of this forum.* Do you really think you're the only gaijin to ever live in Japan who was into cars?* I'm just trying to say that I came on here with knowledge, but since i was new and had a low post count I was instantly unknowledgable... (and it goes on...)
Why didn't you try to actually prove you had a strong understanding and beneficial wealth of knowledge rather than simply engaging in arguments and "claiming" that you have some great / unmatched knowledge. Aside from a few Japanese terms, I really haven't read anything in any of your post that are ground-breaking or even helpful. In-fact, I find that much of what you post is either a useless comment such as "nice," or an unwarranted opinion. This place was pretty cool before you started coming here. Let your cars and post prove your experience and knowledge. Right now, your posts only show that; you have a knack for unprofessional and petty bickering, and you enjoy claiming that you have some great VIP knowledge. Unfortunately your claims have gone unfounded.
Talk is cheap.

White mike: you may think you're calm and all... which you probably are when you're sitting there posting non-stop, but you're still making the most trite and asinine posts I've seen in a while, anywhere... and they're just so damn useless and annoying. Word is you get kicked off other forums... and you may think it's for "speaking your mind"... but it may more be for inciting stupidity with a lot of initial stupidity on your part. It may be fun to rile people up now and then, but everything in moderation.. otherwise it gets real old, real fast. And posting shit that's controversional but profound and thought-provoking is one thing, and always welcome by people with half a brain... but posting just random stupid blurts that neither further any discussion, and just serve to poke jabs at other people over and over and over and over is sorta a waste of time eh? In the past week it's starting to look like Hawaii is full of honda kids in their teens... but wait, how old are you guys? >HAHA< You're in your 30s! Come on now all you hawaiin fucks... just stop trying to turn this site into your own little personal love/hate chat site, and acutally ACT VIP. In fact, other than all the bickering, and back patting/ass kissing, and name dropping these past weeks, I don't think any of you have really contributed any REAL USEFUL info to this site! Feel free to go back and review all your posts to prove me wrong, please. But the mere fact that you might have to should spark a little thought in your noggin eh? Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Anyway, the majority of this isn't directed at just white mike, but at all you guys participating in the monkey shit toss mess, but mike in particular cuz he's the main instigator overall. You're a lot more laid back and cool in real life when I met you.. and I used to think that would be the case in general, but your conduct online leaves much to be desired. Like I said, it's one thing to be an asshole with purpose, and another to be just an asshole that's sorta... lost.

Yakuza...I didn't claim to be anything. I said I have knowledge..which I do. I never said i was the know it all, that title is claimed already.
For One Ton, yes I was kicked off the Executive Konnexion boards...ONE BOARD. And this is the board of a crew that I helped found (not as a member mind you, but just to help since I was knowledgable) and designed their logo for them and what not. I was betrayed by ONE individual who loves to flaunt anything and everything he can that will make people think he is more cool. You want the honest truth? The truth that person will deny no matter what? I'd love for everyone to hear it...but NO, I won't post it here for the fact that I AM a good person, better than that person will ever be. And he should thank me for being this cool. At this moment I am not calm..but I'm not being a prick. Yes, I poked at Mikey for his blatant sales pitches and over commercializing his posts. I admit to that, we don't need to see shit like that on the boards...that belongs in Magazines and newspapers. That or if he really wants to advertise like that he should pay the forums to be a sponsor. I would never say a word if that was the case. I just tire of hearing him pitch things out that are unfounded...then trying to act professional by not saying anything...deceiving isn't it. If you guys really want to ban me then that's fine, but do it to me for just cause. This is rediculous...I hope you're happy Mr. Chen...

i am really close to yoshi, i have helped his sisters and other family members and i continue to value his friendship. he is always down to help out the xk crew, i would not have gotten my 42-inch plasma if it wasn't for him. as for the estima, we talked about various wheels and fitments, perhaps you can enlighten us big shawn, what is the stock offset of yoshi's offset (he doesn't know) and what is the most aggressive he can go? i suggested 29mm all around and using my eastwood fender roller or my louisville slugger bat (thanks dave!). any opinion or ideas would be appreciate. if you don't wanna post up here in light of all the commentaries, pls feel free to post up on the xk boards mang. aloha jake,
i purchased 2 sets of the same wheels for my car.
Brakes/Wheels/Tires:
(for daily use)
Maya RT5/Trafficstar RTS by Riverside Co., Ltd.-Japan
19"x9.5" (front; 29mm offset) chrome; 19"x10.5" (rear; 29mm offset) chrome
KICS Japan +10mm spacer (front); KICS Japan +20mm spacer (rear)
Dunlop Sportmaxx 225-35ZR-19 (front); Dunlop Direzza 265-30ZR-19 (rear)
(for car shows/display use)
Maya RT5/Trafficstar RTS by Riverside Co., Ltd.-Japan
19"x9" (front; +14mm offset) silver; 19"x10" (rear; +4mm offset) silver
Dunlop Sportmaxx 225-35ZR-19 (front); Dunlop Direzza 265-30ZR-19 (rear)
also, i am very fortunate to be sponsored by ROTORA for my audi and we're negotiating a sponsorship with ROTORA, ENDLESS and Brembo (Cody-Allen from my car club, Executive Konnexion, is sponsored by ENDLESS USA on his Aristo, hopefully one day soon 2JZ-swapped by SP), i'm looking at 6-pot BBKs for the front and 4-pot BBKs for the rear. the brackets will be a one-off from a 2006 infiniti FX35. which caliper color do you think would look better? satin blue or chromed? i'm leaning towards the blue right now...

it's more original than your C klass that is FOR SURE.
Did you really just post that?

Look guys, this is getting out of hand.* I live in Hawaii, I'm the one with the first Y33 on Airrunners in the U.S. (Shin had to custom order the airrunner kit, serial number on that bad boy is 00001) thanks to Johnny (thanks again man) and I've gotton 'some' stuff from Robert...the guy with the weird face as his sn...I know a lot of you guys on here...some personally and some over the interation of PM's or IM's.* I even talked to some of you on the phone for 20+ minutes about cars.* And some people know me too...I am truly pasionate in what I do.* Currently, I work for free at a body shop just so my JP UCF10 will be done by the upcoming Aug 24th show.* I've had this car for ~14 days.* Another Hawaii guy on here who doesn't post much saw the car in person the day I bought it.* Rusted and pounded in fender, hood, etc.* The body kit was a story in itself.* Point is, I'm here for fun AND the truth.* What good is information if it's all false.*
Back to my point, I'd like to think i'm cool here...I just quit www.executivekonnexion.com to join night garage.* Why?* Because it's a better crew for me.* We all work on our own cars and have experience and knowledge is different aspects of car modding...whether it be welding, paint, mechanical, detailing, etc.* I'm one of those guys who can talk about all types of cars for hours.* It's pretty much in my blood.* X/K are a bunch of cool cats.* They have a tight nit crew but that's it.* With the exception of a couple members, most don't work on their own car.* That's not my style.* I don't rely on friends or spare cash laying around to install my parts.* I get dirty and greasy.* Back to my point, I don't have a problem with anyone, I think.* If you do, please feel free to PM me.*
Honestly, me and Mikey used to be tight...He got me into real estate and do genuinely owe him a great deal beacause of that.* Recently, both of us started a business.* I don't advertise the way he does...and to be honest, it is annoying.* And I also see how a certain someone purposely quotes everyone's post and replies to them except mine...especially when I ask a valid question...a question brecause I'm serious, not makind trouble.* I think car forums should be for the car enthusiast, not the hobbyist.* It's my own opintion, so shush.* Being a hobbyist is cool but I enjoy cars MUCH more than that.* And yes, I understand that not everyone is into cars as I am but if you're gonna post something about 'claims to fame', let it be impressive or at least let it be your own.* Not something out of a catalog.* Why have near spitting image of a car that has already been done before.* Yes, the parts and wheels might look sick as hell, but be creative.* There isn't a VIP car that can run ONE certain type of wheel.* Throw some ideas around and see it in your mind.* Not on a page of VIP car.*
Pretty much all I'm saying is don't group night garage, www.executivekonnexion.com, 'Hawaii guys', as one category.* I speak for myself only dammit.* I'm cool with pretty much everyone on both sides of this 'fiasco'.* Seach my previous posts, and you'll see I've been pretty much been acting the way I've been since way back...Yes, I do posts more...but that is because I'm getting more involved with these costly machines and I love it...GO VIP!
__________________
And another thing, I'm not in it for no one else but myself.* I don't look to get sponsorships, they pretty much came to me (with the help it NG-C Klasse, thanks Mike!).* Correct me if I'm wrong but the cars that are sponsored in X/K were sought after by the individual.* Not anyone's shop.* I want recognition for what I've done, I kinda thrive on it but I want the recognition because it came to me.* Not because I forced myself upon a certain company.

WOW. I dont come here too often anymore and am shocked/ashamed on how things have turned in the past few weeks. I cant believe some of the things I've read that hawaii guys are posting. I dont understand how there can be so much differences between a good bunch of guys. I personally know PMP LEX,Pimplux A4 and believe it or not even NG C klasse. I have never thought in all my life these guys would have grudges against eachother over cars. I admit they all know their s*** when it comes to cars. I have asked all of them a thing or two about cars atleast once. I hope things settle down on VSC as we dont need this behavior to clutter the boards. Everything I have read in this post was a bunch of crap that we could have all done without. I give props to all three guys as they all have unique show quality rides that they all worked hard on. I personally dont care for Z32's but Mikes ride is something special and I watched it progress whenever I went to his past employers shop. Mikeys A4 is very well done too with some tasteful mods. Dennis' rides have both come a long way from his hard work as well. Hopefully at next weeks show we can all just get along and check out some fine rides and check out dem scandalous b*tch*s :o ;D :smitten:

Yo, it's all good. We squashed it..well, at least I did. I made another post about it. Night Garage will continue to do what we have for over the past 6 years..build sick, solid cars. Things will settle down...and others will learn how to work business a r o u n d the forums and not in it. It is sad that things went down at all, but pride and egos can sometimes get out of hand and need a wake up call. The call is over..so everyone hang up the phone and move on...

oh no, no shame at all... the 1st place VIP infiniti/nissan trophy went to my friend, will lau, with his vip'd out cefiro, very deserving to win, the whip is very vip'd out and will is a super-cool guy. nothing on his cefiro went untouched and i give 110% props to him, he deserved the win hands-down. on top of all that, he is very humble, very mellow and he got me in the game in the first place back in 2002-03...
here's an old pic (now he's got work vs-xx's)...

Hence why i was jealous!
however, i believe you guys get the JDM RHD evos and skylines in aussie.. I SHOULD BE JEALOUS OF YOU!!!

Some of us might be in the same car club or was in the same car club. I was in all three that rep here on these boards...pimplux, executivekonnexion and am currently in Night Garage...why the change? Because it was personal choice. The people all car clubs are still my friends and are all awesome individuals in their own right...but don't categorize me into a 'group'. I write what I feel (while being tactful most of the time) and that's that.

After nearly 18 months of being a so called "Hawaiian" member on this forum (Even though I'm not a Hawaiian and I'm Half japanese half Chnese ;D)this is my first post :o See all of us "Hawaiiains" don't get into it with each other like some other members have suggested. We have been good members too
Anyway Dennis, I wanted to stay out of this and have, but since Mike I and Mike C shook hands at the show, you as well seem to want to squash this as well, I'd say that is the way to go. I've known who Mike I was for a long time now since I was one of the original additional members to PimpLux back in 2001. I never hung out with him, but over the years through Dave and Will I know about his knowledge base and what he has to offer. There is no doubt he knows the scene well and can offer a lot of insight. I just wish sometimes you guys would be a little more tacful as you pointed out. But that is okay I know his posting style is his style, but sometimes it is hard for the rest of us to know when it is joking and when he is not since we don't hang around him all the time. I probably was one of the first if not first member to meet you in person back when you joined PimpLux. I just think it is kind of sad for the rest of us to watch some of our friends go at it like this, but like you said, not everyone can get along with each other so to each their own. The other thing you said is don't categorize yourself in a group. Same with the rest of the X/K members. Like you said, we are all individuals and do things our own way. I too don't like to be included in some of the views you guys have about X/K. All the members know I never wanted the PimpLux/Executive Konnexion split in the first place. Right now I'm with X/K due to circomstance and because Dave personally asked me to stick it out with them.
NIghts Garage members are building some really nice cars. I also think a lot or X/K as well as PimpLux members build some nice cars. So what if some paid for installation and others made their own parts from scratch? Everyone has different skill levels. Not everyone was born with a Tig welder in one hand and breaker bar in the other ;D Personally, I don't know what level of respect I've earned if any from the members of Nights Garange, but I just wish all 3 car clubs the best and just wish everyone would just do their own thing, build their own thing, and let the cars speak for themselves. Others that don't know us personally can make up their own mind about the cars and individuals so I feel there is no need to inform others about it as they can draw their own conclusions based on their own experience with the individual.

Chris..thanks for the post. I appreciate the fact that you understand. That's what's so hard is that most people don't. The only reason I've kept as much cool as I have is because of members like Dave and yourself. I remember when Will approached me about starting Pimplux. It was cool to see someone else interested in VIP back then as there were only a few of us with any knowledge about it period, like Leroy. Things were fine with it untill some members pretty much overthrew Will because he wanted to keep things real VIP and not euro like others were making it become...that is when the split began. Will and Spam stayed on with Pimplux and the others started XK. When I got more active again with Night Garage, Will and I talked about merging it again like it was before. So now Pimplux and Night Garage are one in the same...pretty much the way it used to be back in the day. I understand that Mikey gets a little over excited about things, but he needs to be careful not to step on toes. As Dennis said..it's all about tact. Now group hug everyone and lets move on. ;)

For those that don't know, I hinted to Mike that I would buy his Y-33 at the show, but it looks like he wants to keep it and has some pretty wild plans for it in the future :o

thank you chris! finally, a post that has to do with my original topic/thread... i dunno, i still might put the y33 cima up for sale, the shitty thing is i ordered a lot of parts from japan already that didn't make the august show and it's kinda a waste not to floss it since most of it is cima-specific. but yah, i got til' 2009 to make up my mind and until then (my 3rd condo won't be built 'til then), so the cima will continue to receive its weekly full detail pkg from door-to-door (meguiar's 4-stage) and i will make sure nobody eats or drink or smoke in it...ekekekekekekee....LOL... :2funny: payce, mikey
