Will this offset work on the PREVIA? I know that PREVIA's can run 9+25.
Size/Width/Offset
18x9+40 (2 1/2 inch dish lip)
18x10+38 (4 inch dish lip)
Concerned about rubbing inner wall. Thanks ahead of time!

Actually, 9", +25mm will NOT work on a previa as is. In fact, it won't even really work too well with totally rolled fenders. If you want to be able to run that fitment, and still ride low, you'll have to run no wider than 215s, and you'd have to pull the fenders a little. And even then, depending on the exact wheel and tire, clearance is still not going to be that great. If you want something that can just fit on the car with rolled fenders (maybe slightly pulled) that would be daily drivable, you're best to stick to no more than an 8.5", +30mm with a 225 all around... or a derivative of that fitment.. i.e. 9", +36mm etc. Remember, the rear is a live axle, and does not camber in with travel, and in fact, when running more "extreme" fitments, you'll notice that, unless you replace the panhard bar with an adjustable unit, one rear wheel will always be closer to the fender than the other, and possibly thouch

Thank you very much for your comments.* I have actually seen 19x9+25 235/35 in STYLE WAGON.* There is no fender work to the ride according to the article (I can't read Japanese but my GF can).* Still runs on the "solid" rear axle set-up. Also Shawnthemonster is running a 18+24. He has the overfender kit but even without the overfenders it looked really good.
My Egg is lowered on TEIN "Super Wagon" Coil-Overs (Thanks to Shawnthemonster).* My concern with the 18X9+40 and 18X10+38 is that I will be rubbing the inner fender.* I would like to use the tires that I currently run 235/40.* I know that the 9's are dooable but the 10's might really be a "stretch".* LOL* I am going fo the stretch look but the 10's might be too much!

bump..
I would like too know what is the WIDEST wheels, that can fit in a previa with very small mods on fender, or no fender mods at all?? Will 18x10 with a 35 or 45 mm offset fit on all 4 sides of the vehicle?
thanks

very small or no fender mods? 9.5" with 235s are good... 10" wide in even 45mm offset will present some problems... remember the rear is a live axle with a simple panhard bar. The whole rear end shifts a few mm to the side as the susp travels, so you can't go TOO extreme because one side will then always hit the fender

Thank you very much for your quick response.\
Sorry to be asking too much questions, im new to the whole previa hehe.
I was wondering since the wheel company that I am looking at do not make the wheel in 9.5 size, only in 9" or 10".* So if I get in 9" what is the best offset that I can put? I would like to make it flush because I am not going to drop it crazy. Most likely it will be around 2" gap between the fender and the stock tires on the front and around 3" on the rear.
how about G35 wheels? those are 18x8 but I dont know the offset if it will fit (its the 7 spoke design).
ps: how wide do these owners go on their previas? this is what I am trying to get "the look" of the wheels, of course not that low. noticed how it sticks out a bit?

Hahaha, that's my friend Jimmy's old Estima! Haven't talked to him in ages though. So I don't think i can find out what he was running. I'm pretty sure he did some custom work though, he's built a lot of cars that were "put-together" from various vehicles. If you guys are in Cali...you might want to ask Robbie (Nishida) if he remembers since Jimmy is his brother. Robbie is out there a lot to compete in Formula D.

Kool..
Yeah, that Van looks nice. I just wanted to know what size tires and wheels he used. But I guess that would be difficult hehe.
I saw his cardomain page too and it seems like he has a different car now.

If the wheel is only avl in whole sizes between 9" and 10", go for the 9"... what about offset? If you can choose, go for something between 35mm to 45mm. Run a 225 tire all around. You'll find it looks better to lower the car a little bit more than you are planning than to not lower the car and have "big" wheels though....

Just a little update on this offset fitting the Previa. The answer is yes and no. "No" it won't be a direct fit but "yes" they will fit with pulling the rears about 1 1/4 inch. Wish it were a direct fit but oh well........looks like I am going to be going the "making" it fit route.

Do you have pictures of the fitment?

Sorry no pics......didn't even attempt to mount them.* Just looked at the rims and saw that there was no way that this was going to work.* Figured lessen the sting by not having to look at exactly what kind of work it is going to take to "make" them fit.* But from what I could tell......if I were going to mount and run them as is it would look "lowrider" style.* Nothing wrong with that look.....it is just not the VIP styling as well as the look I am going for.
Hey Mike......I am beginning to have second thoughts on this........the work, the time, the money.......maybe I should turn around and sell these babies and get something that will actually fit. What you think?

oh oki..thank you for the reply! mUch appriciated!
I am contemplating if I should get a set of G35 wheels, someone locally is selling them for a good deal. I believe that they are 18x8 and around 40-35mm offset...I like those wheels, but of course if I can score on a set of SSR Vienna Keris..woah!
hehehe.
sukoshiyoshi, what wheels do you have that you are trying to put? Do you have an idea as to how much it sticks out?

This is the offset that I am/was? trying to fit on the Egg. The style of rim is the WORK S2H. I picked these wheels up from Mr. Kenji here on vipstylecars. A big thank you to Kenji for giving me a great deal on the wheels. Just wished that they could of fit without a lot of modifications. This is exactly why I was asking about this offset. Oh well next time I'll do my homework. But its not like it won't fit the Egg.....just that it is going to take some "persuation" (sp) to make it work. LOL
So you thinking about getting some G35 wheels for your Oddy? I say save your monies to get yourself something better. Check forumshawaii.net in the tires classified. There is a nice set of S2H which are brand new that a guy is selling. You are in Hawaii correct? If not my bad. Good luck!
