hey guys, im looking at getting this car

is there anything specifically problematic i should know about these cars? its a 97 (new enough to have the side impact airbags), auto, 100k miles, touring model, according to the ad everything is in good condition, ill be looking at it tomorrow afternoon in person.

as i understand it, the car comes stock with abs and a viscous diff, and i can tell from the pics that it has seat heaters and a cd changer, power everything leather disk brakes yadda.

how is the stock stereo? id like to put some cheap coaxials in it as i am assuming the stock stuff is probably junk. do you have to do a factory amp bypass or anything?

any other things worth mentioning about these? id appriciate it

as for mods, im no stranger to modifying cars, however i have no budget for doing this one up at the moment, but id still like to do a few little things. maybe pop some of the badges off, get better window tint, wheels and a drop down the line.

id like to get some rain visors for it, on my 240 the only place to get these was at the dealer, is this the same for this car or are there any aftermarket companies that sell these?

where do all the aftermarket front grilles come from? nearly all modded qs have some kind of altered front grill.

can you get cima badges from the dealer or...? where do they come from, id really like the hood mascot if nothing else

cheapest way to drop this car? id love to do bags but i dont want to try to do it super cheap/ghetto. what kind of shocks are available that will allow for the most agressive drop without blowing out really fast? id like an agressive drop and i dont think 1" sportlines and agx or whatever will get me that. regarding lowering, how is the camber gain? im not scared of some camber, 2.5ish or somthing is cool but i dont want to be running 4+ on a commuter. additionally how is the toe curve? basically trying to figure out what kind of aftermarket adjustment im going to need to run stock toe settings and no more than 3 degrees of camber. do the stock arms have enough adjustment to handle a shock and spring drop or should i plan on getting some eccentric bolts/aftermarket arms?

what size of wheels can you run on these? are the fenders easy to roll or is it like a lexus with 1/4" inch steel quarter panels? haha. most id want to do is a roll/15mm pull type deal. camber 3 deg is cool, whats a good diameter for these cars? 19"? im not used to sizing wheels larger than 18 since on my 240 i had to keep a degree of functionality since i track it, but with this it dosent really matter if i cant get to full steering lock and shit like that. so id like to go more agressive on the diameter.

haha, i think thats it? sorry for the millions of questions

all the parts you want, you cannot get from the dealer. robert (aka {-.-}) can help you with that.

Congrats on the buy, she looks very pristine! and please do take care of her.(Looks awesome!)

As far as the stereo is concerned, if the car has premium sound, your going to have to bypass that stock amplifier if you are changing your headunit. Im sure the speakers are the traditional papercone design vs. the aftermarket Polypropolene (spelling?) which is plastic. (Night and day difference on sound) If i were to put some speakers (components) on there, i would do research since there's too many users that they claim that they listen to everything. Hope this helps you.

stereo: stock speakers actually not that bad... they're bose, and quite a step up from typical oem speakers. If you're on a budget, stick with the stockers, and just add some bass to round out the sound.

jdm doodads: mostly all from japan for now... that includes badges and grilles etc.

suspension: Major limiting factor of the Y33 is the front strut.. it uses an attached spindle design. Rear is basic nissan multi-link. Front does use inserts though, so you can easily modify it...
