wow this makes me want to go out and grab a used 300e, when done up correctly, this particular model seems to never get old.

honestly guys, i have always liked the old school mercedes cars alot more than the new ones...I would easily take a hard ass fixed up old school 500E that looks like that black one below over a new mercedes...The older cars have more "soul", where as the newer cars just look like everything else.

Well, it's basically an LS400. you know how Lexus/Toyota loves to copy German cars.

your statement is very true, as much as I love the reliability and design of japanese luxury cars.

mercedes really set the stage for japanese luxury sedans and that is a fact.

the 300e set it off in a big way.

i wish i ran a body shop. im a banker :-\
its bold within reason. i wanted something different and something that would make a challenge for me. the wrx i use to have made things far too easy as far as modding goes and same goes for my hondas. as i started researching vip styling i had my eyes set on a 98-99 ls400 but parts are too accessible that it doesnt make it too fun for me. i like custom fabbing things and pushing the envelope. the w124 is a great car to do so. basically my idea, like many, is wide and low. wald cleans up the body lines and the black paint will always look wet. hopefully i can get some coverage. its definitely going to be japanese inspired but at the same time keep that european class. all i need is time. i dont like being too impulsive on my purchases. the car is done. once it comes out im going to work on a e420 motor with a custom single turbo kit from st00pidfast here in houston. but thats in due time.

The Mercedes W124 chassis is an old-skool vehicle, however with the right mods; it can become a real carshow head-turner, especially if there is a motor swap!
