Haha, cut springs...I'm on a tight budget...
Too bad I sold my Work DH's...I think those wheels would have looked perfect...I'm not disappointed with the Zauber Gettins though...they do look pretty sick...I thought the offset was too agreesive but if it was on bags, it would actually tuck!
Very nice especially for only 2 wks Im on the fence on the exhaust too a lil too aggressive for my taste but overall the car looks nice.

Your tailpipes are a bit too big. VIP exhausts slant up like that too, but yours look more DTM rather than VIP. VIP has a sense of elegance to it, while yours look more racey than anything.

When my car was on the lift, I positioned it exactly where I wanted it...welded the damn thing on and took it down...looking up at the exhaust it didn't look too bad but when the car was on the ground, I thought "what the hell did I do'"...after a few days passed and especially when I put my wing on, it grew on me...I LOVE IT!!! I built this car to experiment in...something unique and wild in a sense...It was a mistake that I grew to love and happy I did it...

You're kidding me right? Have you seen any of the wild VIP cars in Japan in person? Not just cars in magazines. The exhaust is VERY VIP. The style you're reffering to is EXE. As a "Global Polics Moderator" you'd think you'd know that. The style of his exhaust is on the wild VIP side and like he said at first it was a miscalculation. I've seen crazier.
The white LS is Dan's and it also is running JP aero with the front corners shaved, that car is also finshed and sitting in the Falken booth with my car and Spam's F50.

Your perception of do's and don'ts is a little off. I'm not sure where you learned all your info from, but people do actually build VIP cars how THEY want them, not how the catalog looks. If we all made catalog cars this would be a really freakin' boring thing to do...hahaha. Everyone has their own style, there's no real right or wrong. People should tune their car how THEY want and to make them happy.

Wow, haha, do you know that several of the workers for JP don't drive a VIP car? Do you think they don't know as much because of it? Probably not. I have been cool about all this as well and will continue to be. You are allowed to have your opinion about me..I don't care if you don't like me or what I think. What I do care about is how certain people think they automatically know things because they've "been around here for a while". You do know I manage a high society shop right? You think I've never helped build cars for people? You think I've never worked with all these companies and enthusiests? I made a statement to a member of this forum, moderator or not I'd say what is on my mind. He made an analogy which didn't match the focus of what was being said. He said EXE and YANKEE (not bosozoku, as a moderator he should know the difference between two wheels and 4). This is a VIP car, not an EXE car. There is wild VIP...a lot of them. So why can't Dennis do what he wants? I've seen many wild VIP cars with JP aero that had been modified to be wilder. Saying JP doesn't do that is true...but that's just JP as a company. Dennis is not JP he is Dennis with JP aero parts. Do you see what I'm saying? Ganging up on me will do you no good because it won't make me change who I am or how I post. Notice I'm being extremely civil...I didn't tell him to SHUT UP (that's only reserved for a few people) and i didn't tell him he has an ignorant attitude. It's just really funny that a few guys who are supposed to be the know it all don't understand a few simple concepts. But what do i know...I don't have a VIP platform. ;)

I don't throw my weight around here just because I am a mod.* Besides, being a mod is not about forcing my beliefs and views on others which you seem to be soooo capable of doing.* All I do here is if a thread gets out of control I moderate it.* That's all.* You are the one who seems to be so gung-ho about me being a mod.* Would you like to apply for a position here?* Damn, man.* CHILL OUT.

Oh yeah, one last thing. If you do have things to contribute here with your precious knowledge on "high society", VIP styling, EXE, Luxo, Bosozoku, Yankee, or whatever that can help this site or the members here to become more knowledgable in the issue, by ALL means, please contribute, but we can do without the trite, it's very tiresome. I don't have an opinion about you, I could really care less about who you are, what you do, or where you come from. This is an Internet forum. So stop being so paranoid and thinking that everyone is out to get you. No one is. In fact, no one really cares. If you post good stuff, great, I learnt something new. If you post junk, you will just be banned (not by me, it takes a lot more to piss me off). It's really that simple.

I wasn't being trite and I was posting it being playful...hence the little winking eye smiley. I guess it's too hard to decipher that online. I wasn't upset, riled, or anything. Sorry you interpreted it wrongly. I'm actually a really nice guy and most of this stems from misunderstanding and miscalculations about me by others. It's okay though...you each have your own opinions and that's okay. Why is it that everytime I post what's on my mind people have to say I'm attacking them or rubbing them the wrong way?? I said the identical thing to some people that others had, yet they picked out my post and went off on me? I really can't explain that one. I don't know why I'm so misunderstood on this forum. The other forums I'm on there's no issues. I'm a moderator over at ZipTied, but they aren't as sensative as the people here I guess. I am blunt as I spoke before, I don't blow smoke up people's arse and I don't candy coat. I'm not saying you do, it's a general statement...so don't take it personally. I shouldn't even have to say that, but apparently I do so I don't upset anyone. BTW...bosozoku is not about cars. It's about motocycles and moped gangs mostly..very few cars.
Here's a quick little write-up from a documentary: http://www.theglobalist.com/StoryId.aspx?StoryId=4388
Yankee is about cars and is in the same "style" of attitude and what-not as bosozoku...similar yet very different.
And was this not you that quoted this?
it weird that he puts on such a classy exe kit and then puts on a wild bosozoku tailpipes....
Once again, just clarifying, unless I read that completely wrong. JP is not EXE...it's VIP. Why are you attacking me for things you said and then said you didn't? I'm getting confused...I'm being serious and not trying to give you sh!t. Help me here.

This is a VIP car, not an EXE car.* There is wild VIP...a lot of them.* So why can't Dennis do what he wants?*
Some folks say JP is Exe / Mild and others say its VIPstyle more Wild............ Its still VIPstyle. The JP kit on a GS 2nd Gen looks Exe / Mild to me and on an LS it looks more agressive. NO BIG DEAL!!
Exe - Mild or Wild its alll VIPstyle and its Even better on a VIPcar.
NO ONE said Dennis cant do what he wants........... some say its toooooooo big and he said he likes it thats what matters its his car COOL!!.

Grrr...actually I was writing a lot of stuff in reply to your earlier comment, but forget it. You don't seem to understand anything else other than your own words. So let's have a completely hypothetical situation:
Say I said to you on a public forum that the 300zx you are building is completely nasty, and i mean that in the worst possible way. But then, I told you that I said that in a "playful" way, and I am sorry that if you misinterpret whatever I said wrongly, and that I run a widebody-with-weirdly-stretched-wheeled-300zx-car-club-for-10-years therefore I am in the know and everybody else is wrong and that I am the nicest guy you can possibly meet but I am very blunt and I say what's in my head all the time, would that make the comment about your 300zx being the nastiest thing that ever roamed the street sounds/feels any better? But then again, like you would say it, it's my comment and therefore I have a right to say it, but nobody else has any right to make a comment about me or my buddies.
Now, before you go off on another tangent, the situation above is COMPLETELY hypothetical just so I can prove my point in the simplest terms for you. Here, let me put a winky eye smiley, just so you know that I am being "playful". ;) ;)

Let us use NG's words to findout what is going on here, that everybody but him doesnt notice it.
*just quoted select phrases to minimize the confusion and just get to the point*
Why is it that everytime I post what's on my mind people have to say I'm attacking them or rubbing them the wrong way??
Well here is where it began.
.* As a "Global Polics Moderator" you'd think you'd know that.*
Then this.
Your perception of do's and don'ts is a little off. I'm not sure where you learned all your info from, but people do actually build VIP cars how THEY want them, not how the catalog looks. .
Then another
What I do care about is how certain people think they automatically know things because they've "been around here for a while".
I made a statement to a member of this forum, moderator or not I'd say what is on my mind. He made an analogy which didn't match the focus of what was being said.
Ganging up on me will do you no good because it won't make me change who I am or how I post. It's just really funny that a few guys who are supposed to be the know it all don't understand a few simple concepts.
I really dont know if you read everything you type for that matter what other people's post or you just reply out automatically thinking that everybody is going after you.
Then you ask why they take your posts the wrong way. Read your first reply to JTanoyo and read again.
He never said that he was the "know it all" but you seem to like to use that word to anybody that disagrees with you.
Why is that?
And plus Dennis chose to post pics of his car to a car forum, it will get criticized good or bad. But when somebody didnt like how one thing looks you
jump on them? I dont understand your mentality.

Those words you use when you 1st got on here " I Like To Bust Chops " if its NOT Mikey its someone else thats how MOST of us see it. Its going to take alot for us to change our views about you and I DONT think it will EVER HAPPEN.
It'd be too bad if you didn't change your views. I have a lot to offer. I have been civil with each reply. I made an appology to all of you..in fact I even approached Mikey and told him I was dropping the whole thing and shook his hand at the show yesterday (which due to the circumstances was very difficult, but I manned up). I really don't see why you can't learn to forgive and forget. As adults this shouldn't be an uncommon practice for you to accept. I appologized for coming on too strong. The quotes posted of me are true and I did type them. I didn't type them with angst. I typed them in a casual explanational way. In my opinion a moderator here should understand basic principles...but maybe what I think is basic is not basic. That could be the problem and if it is..I'm sorry. I make points...that's pretty much it. I'm not making personal attacks. If the reader percieves I am..well, I'm sorry, but without seeing my facial expression and attitude it's hard for you to understand that I'm just "speeking" normally. Like Robert said I am set in my ways, but in person I'm a nice guy who really cares about helping people. I got to meet Johnny (johnnygoodlife) yesterday and he said I really was a different person than he expected. I understand I can't meet all of you in person, but why not let the water flow under the bridge? I think when you guys see any post by me you automatically read it negatively. I'm trying to be positive..please work with me here and try to understand that I'm setting the record straight so we can all move on. I'm beeing very sincere with you here...please see that. Thanks for your understanding.
It was a pleasure to meet you in person and I hope to see you contributing more of your knowledge and expierences. It makes me happy to know you "manned up" and took the first step. I know it was difficult, but atleast it is done

Hey Dennis, I wish I got to meet you and the others there. I did see the cars in person, very nice stuff. I wish I got a closer look at your car. I got as close as the rear wheel. My son wanted me to take a pic of him, so I told him to neal next to the wheel. :P Plus the booth set up was kind of junk, I wouldn't have been able to get a nice shot of it. The white LS, and the Infinity were awesome. I also did not get a close look at the widebody Z. I hope you don't mind me posting up some pics. I am waiting to see if other sites have put up photos yet. Maybe next time I'll be able to meet you and the others. :)
Some GS's
I could have sworn I saw puctures somewhere on the net of the last (blue/silver) GS. Not sure where. I didn't know it was from here.
The Infinity in the Falken booth, and a LS430 that was in the show.

I understand all of you and I know exactly what I said. I think Robert said it best:It'd be too bad if you didn't change your views. Dude, all I am saying is, if there's anything I said that has anything to do with VIP, the lifestyle or the concept/terms was wrong, instead of attacking my mod status (being a mod does mean more experience, but it doesn't mean that I know it 101%, I am human), all you should do really is contribute here with your vast knowledge of the subject and correct it without sounding like a jackass. Period.
Now having said that, I am apologizing right now publicly if anything I have said might have spread misinformation about VIP and the concept, to you, to your friend or whoever cares. I still stand by my statement earlier that in my HUMBLEST OPINION, I think his exhaust pipes are way too big for the kit that he has on the car. It exudes elegance from the front and the side, but looks wild from the back. It just looks out of place.
Other than that, like I said many times before, if you have "a lot to offer" for this site, by God, please do. We need all the information, help, support, expertise, from the likes of you, your crew and your friends.

I am happy with the way my LS came out...I never expected perfection to begin with considering I've never even mixed bondo before and had to figure out how to body work everything...with the help of some friends of course...The paint could have been better too but I made a lot of mistakes and didn't know until after I was done...Like I said, the exhaust has grown on me and learned to love it...I still think if it was in about 2" more, I'd be almost exactly where I want it...
Rolling out to the show...

pmp-lex, as a fellow ucf10 owner and fan, i can definitely say that yours looks absolutely fantastic! you've definitely given me, and i'd like to think others, as to where we should go with our wheels in terms of size and fitment. great job!
right or wrong....the pipes look out of place to me on the blk LS.

Is this Mike O writing this? I didn't know you were a man of many words. :)
I really like the Night Garage chrome logo's on some of the car's at the show(didn't get to go to the show but saw pictures), it is nicely done.
By the way who's white LS400 is that in the falken booth with the night garage logo on the trunk? It looks much cleaner then some of the other LS's at the show, but of course the otehr LS's had things on it that I fancied as well.

Haha, hey Alex. It's Mike "I", you're not the only one to spell my last name with an O..or an E. Glad you liked the emblems, adds a touch of class and exclusivity I think.
