Was wondering if this is a good buy for $7000 i wanna hear from the people that have VIP cars.

FOR SALE is a 1990 VIP q45. I am working on another project and don’t have time and need the money for my other car. I would love to finish this car, but because of my schedule and other priorities I have to sell.

Interior:
Radio needs repair or just replace with new deck
Leather in good condition, only one seat has a rip, nothing big.
2 preset memory 8-way adjustable automatic driver seat with tilt and telescoping steering wheel
8-way adjustable passenger seat
Sunroof with tilt opening
Rear cigarette lighters
Tint
Original q45 carpets
All interior lights work

Engine:
All stock
RWD
4.5L V8
Junction Produce Exhaust

Exterior:
Custom body work and paint by Main Street Auto Body in Milpitas
Junction Produce Premium Kit

Wheels:
Victrix by Rays Engineering
Front- 18x12
Rear- 18x14
I dare you to find these rims around here.
- There is tire wear in the rear but I will include used tire to run on or as spares.

I have a contract with Main Street because it is not finished do have them finish the body work for FREE. You can take it in and have it painted what ever color you want for FREE, I already paid for it. Or you can keep it the way it is and have some one you know redo it and I can lower the price. I will even go there with you to confirm with them that this is true.

I am selling this car as is because I don’t have time for it and want to get rid of it quick. It is already registered and smogged for this year. I have the title in hand right now.

In the pictures it has the front bumper on but I also have the stock front bumper so you can roll on it. You will need Air Ride to have the front bumper on because it is too low.

This car won 2nd at J's Gathering By JDM THEORY this past month and it wasn't even finished. With the right investment this can be a show winner guaranteed. It is a head turner once you start the car and wherever you go.

Contact me via craigslist email. I will get back to you that day. $7000obo. Cash offers can be lower. Lowballers not accepted Please post if this is your car.

This car belonged to another member on this board. All I can say is that majority of the people disagree with the choices this current owner made regarding the wide body. So if I was buying this car I would look into redoing that whole mess.

IE: buy new chassis, start fresh.

from scratch..Good Luck on your ventures.

Well...you can get a Q45 of the same bodystyle for about 2-4K, and use the rest to build your own...and add your taste to the ride. OR you can get this car for 7K and redo the widebody, so that's another 4K or so. At the end it will be a bad-ass ride for sure. I think you need to decide this for yourself. Personally I would get a new car...but that's because I like to stick to the milder side of VIP styling. Now if you are going for the wilder side of things and are planning on doing widebody anyway, then go for it and get this thing.

if he held up to the repaint thing and you painted it black it would hide a lot of the funky body work, might look better

also the rear wheels are 13j, i dunno why the dude keeps saying they are 14

Start fresh...

But, I really doubt that is a Junction Produce Premiums kit.

Does it look like it's worth $7k?

I say if you give him 2-3k he'll be happy.. he bought it for that much when it was worth more. But sadly, it's worth that much (or less) right now.

How things come together, but really don't.

For 7000 you could get the same platform, useable wheels (useable on stock body), suspension , and end up with a nice clean EXE car, waiting for a bodykit.

agreed with the lizard.

IMO that Q45 exterior has to be completely redone -ZERO FLOW-flares in the back+widepanels in front on RWD

Buy a new one and do it your way, unless you really like the style on that one. If so, buy that one if you are happy with it.

To redo that car "right" would require MORE money than if it was done right in the first place. Here's a little something: notice the sideskirts and rear bumpers and flares (again, NOT junction produce premiums... I think even my grandmother could see that) are molded to the car... meaning that to remove them would require some major work, and essentially, you'd have to destroy them to get them off. Not a good situation. If you were to get the car and not do anything to it, then it might be worth, I'd estimate... maybe around 3K or so. In all honesty, if assessed by a professional, they would consider those mods to have devalued the car. Sorta like painting your house bright pink. Sure, you can use the best latex paint out there, but you just sorta killed the value of your house...and unfortunately, in this case, neither the parts nor the labor appaer to be "the best"... so the car was sorta devalued by the application of sub-par components and work. But at $3K, you can sell the wheels off for that much and consider the car itself a total loss...

even from a completely amature point of view, the car just doesnt sit right, and the body work looks like it coulda been a Wyotech training course. The front is decent, but when I saw the rear 1/4 panels, the work seemed inconsistant and rough. or maybe i just like stock fenders. Either way, it doesn't seem worth the money, so I say start a new and do your thing your way, that way you KNOW itll come out right
