Well After one year and 23 days I got the box done the day before Hot Import Nights LA !! We put the front bumper on for the first time the day of the show and just hoping it is going to fit !! Having three other project, going to school and work doesn't leave that much room for playing with all of them but she is kind of done !! Sorry about the pictures these are all I have so far which I took at the show but she is back in garage so I can finish her for the next show and I will take some better pictures then !!

Dom, Thanks for the comment, you are the only guy I know with the wild style car so a comment like that from someone like you is more than enough !!

Regarding the flares, That is the style of flare I like personally and to me every line of the body has to flow. sure I could just slap some half moon fiber glass and leave them alone or mold them in like everybody else but the flares and even the bumper corners are all hand made made out of steel by me and the flares are part of the body, there is not a bit fiberglass has been used on that car so I like what I achieved during one year project. I also like how the body line, bumpers and flares flow with each other !! At the same time the doors have been pushed out about an inch to get the flush look with side skirts!!
I used to run about -10 of camber so for now I setup the car with very minimal camber in front and rear with 18x10 and 18x12 so if I want to go wider I have the option for camber* :D ;)
Thanks again for all the comments !!

All metal!!? :o :o
THATS impressive... As crazy as mine was, it was unfortunately a bond of fibreglass and metal. I experienced some bad cracking during summer months and although i blame the bodyshop i decided that i would want to do metal if i did it again.
I'd love to see what went into making flares so smoothly. The wheels i have on the way shouldnt need flares, but its something i want to try in the future (With bigger wheels etc)

all i can say is WOW.. that is truly amazing.. I want to do something towrds that (metal flares and wider wheels) but nothing quite like that. Awesome work.
What about your other box?
On a side note, I found out yesterday someone is about to come out with a replica to the Noblesse. Wayne and I about went through the roof.

Freaking sick! The engine, the audio, the exterior, just everything.... wow. Seriously, this took my breath away. I dont think a car has ever struck me like that before. Everything flows so damn well. I cant say enough about it. Well done Sean. My hat is off to you man! :o :o

What company is the exhaust? I thought I was the only one with that exhaust. I bought mine last year July. It must be either ZXpeed or Branche. They are the only ones that make that kind of oval tip exhaust like the one you and I have.

Is that the same motor that came with it??? Is that a custom charger that you have on?? Any other motor work done?? ie internals, fuel managment system, injectors, etc??
Your box is one of the wildest I've ever seen!! You went way beyond the norm and "stepped out of the box"..
jdmpalace
08-25-2006, 01:29 AM
Yep That is the 1.5 Liter motor came with the car !! We tried to bore the motor but didn't botter since the block itself is not that strong and very thin, but since we already had the pistons, we dropped the TRD piston package which was made for vitz in Japan. The supercharger is one of the kind made by Jimze and the only one in US as far as I know. The boost is set at 8 psi. As far as the Fule the charger kit comes with the fuel managment which is made by HKS alsmost same as their FSC and we tuned it for 91 gas. As far as the power I have to change the clutch but while tuning the car on dyno we did three runs and on 110 the car made 151 WHP and we stopped there since the clutch was going out and I still needed some for driving the car off and on trailer for some time, but I have Spec stage three plus and TRD flywheels which will go one as soon I get a chance and may be some RC injectors just for a little bit of fun !! I'm too scared to push the car but I can sure get the 10" wheels loose if I want to but it is still a slow ass box !!

:D Wow... all metal? Man that is some beautiful work! I would love to see pictures of the various stages that went into making this project. Your xb is a work of art, I'm so tired of the "run of the mill" ebay aftermarket parts everyone is using. By far one of the nicest boxes I've seen.

Are you on running air ride.........or coilover suspension.............???????
jdmpalace
08-25-2006, 07:21 PM
The car is on Air, I'm running the Easy street front struts but the rear I had to fabricate my own brackets so I can get the drop where I wanted !!
