I have a copy of Jlug also , i had no clue ti was full of tasteless, chromed up ,flossed out japanese cars . Even had a special pull out mag with speacials from a fooo with his ebrows waxed trying to look ganster with a crimper and pliers doing ghetto mods. He even used orange tissue paper to give the RX330 USM (there is no such thing as USDM , unless you are talkign about a GM, Chrysler or ford in Northamerica , sorry pet peeve )headlight look of an amber insert.

OG

there is such a thing as usdm. "domestic market" simply means what territory it was made for i.e. celsior = jdm, ls400 = usdm. so you probably need to get over that...

JDMJim
04-30-2009, 08:40 AM
they have the USDM Jam in Japan. the cars all have silly mods like out cars. chrome hubcaps, etc etc

CamryVIP

lol it's interesting to see that the japanese really take everything from around the world and emulate it to the T!! Me being from florida and seeing donks around they aren't that bad honestly imo. The drivers are a different story. I'm sure the hardcore VIP dudes are pretty humble whereas the donk riders are all about flash and making sure they are seen. VIP commands attention Donk demands it. They have just as much if not more money into them as a properly built VIP car. Lets not even go into how much money goes into some low-riders and the way people still view them. Different strokes for different folks.

Yes, it's called copying a stupid trend from the lesser neighborhoods of America.

Was VIP not a trend originally started by lesser mobsters? Lesser mobsters that earned their money probably doing activities not that far off from what happens in lesser neighborhoods of America?:pat:

I guess we as people just can't help but follow stupid trends.

one of my old co-workers called the guys that drive those cars "porch monkeys" b/c "it's so flashy and they do it just to attract women (the gold-digger kind). the guys who drive those cars are typically dope dealers that just sit on the porch all day and try to attract attention." those words weren't an exact quote, but close enough. i do somewhat agree w/ where my old co-worker was coming from though. and like CamryVIP said, "VIP commands attention Donk demands it." i've seen this tread before and just wanted to give it a second look. i can't believe that people in Japan are actually doing the Donk style. so much for it being a strictly American style. if it were up to me, i'd keep Donks out of site and out of mind. i've actually seen some guys around where i live w/ LS400s, classic GS300s and I30s done donk style. they're all lucky murder isn't legal. lol

EstimaBoy

"porch monkeys"

I think that actually is a racist term used against black people. Not people who sell drugs on porches and drive cars to try to attract women.

EstimaBoy
05-05-2009, 09:07 PM
I am not racist or trying to be mean, but that is what the term "porch monkey" was used for.

mrkidd
05-06-2009, 08:07 AM
HE is correct....That word can get you into a lot of hurt in some areas.....And the only way you could justify saying it under ANY condititions is if your a black man/women joking around......a sad day in vsc

CamryVIP
05-07-2009, 06:01 PM
yes porch monkey goes back to the slavery days. I guess if you don't know what it really means then that's a good thing. You were raised up not to be racist. Your co-worker on the other hand. He's the one really lucky murder isn't legal...

Mods - Admin: I'm just stating a point not making a threat.
