not sure if this has been a topic here or not... but a customer of mine that is from japan but here on a student visa just got back from visiting his family and friendsand brought me VIPcar and VIPstyle magazines which im in lovve with haha. My first ones since i couldnt find them anywhere easy. Anyways to the topic: Both issues feature white cars on the covers, and the majority of the cars in the magazine are white... so is white the new black for vipcars???

There have been a number of debate articles in the mags about this, but there was no clear decision. White is definitely accepted though, and there are clubs that ONLY rock white cars (just like there are clubs that only rock black cars, and just about any other colour).

Insurance has been using white cars for their bodykit ads for ages now.

You see alot more contours/details on white cars, so it would be more difficult to pull off IMO.

yeah in the new VIPcar there are 3 or 4 different crews that have only white cars. i love it, white and chrome/polished look so good together and are super clean looking..

I think just about any car is good except for CHAMPAIGNE or neon/flourescent colors.

I can't stand champaigne color

White have been on VIP magazines for as long as I've been reading it. It's not as popular as black, but the ratio is getting closer and closer. The majority of cars that I've owned have been white, I like the color since paint maintainance is not as bad as darker colors.

Main reason I had difficulty picking out wheels for my car (Beige).

I hate that generic beige/taupe/champagne colour.

But I love Chrysler's Cool Vanilla. It's not as stark as white, and still very classy.
I find that too much white on a car makes it look cheap, no matter how well done it is, same with pretty much any other colour though

It all depends on how you pull the car off...Obviously you can have more variation to a white or black car...my favorite is the maroon LS in one of the recent VIP mags...

I have allways seen Black as A Luxurious color and white to be more sporty color. THen they came out with all these white pearls..SO depending
On the car and how it is put together White pearl could look very luxurious as well. YOu see more and more white, off white and pearl whites now then
you did in the past. I think thats because the paint has gotten alot better..Personally I just love the pearl whites..

yeah its sooo much better to take care of than black.* i was just kinda shocked because, for example, in the new VIPCAR the first 18 featured cars are white, and theres only about 30 featured cars in the magazine

It's funny that white is such an UNaccepted color here in Indonesia. It's actually quite a superstitious thing since all white cars/vans here are associated with ambulances. On the road, you'd probably see a white car once in every million car or so (I am exaggerating, but you get my point).

I know the family of the owner of Phillips Indonesia (the electronics giant) drive exclusively white cars. He's got white alphard, harrier, s-class, rolls-royce, a-class, X5, and many others. And since white is not readily available here, he either repaints his cars white (like he did with the Rolls, can you imagine!?!?) or he orders them directly from the mother factory... loaded, and crazy!

I think people are switching over to white to seperate themselves from the others, since most vip cars are black...personally I would like to see more silver. Mercedes seems to do Silver just right.

silver is good if your a lazy cleaner also. You can leave it uncleaned for more than six months without washing it,AND it still looks clean.

I personaly like silver also, but from what I understand, it is one of the hardest colors to match/touch-up.

Try touching up PEarl White..yikess..if the paint is a three stage paint it will allways hard to match up, cause
there is usally a base coat..thats what you have to match up is the base coat..

White shows off the lines fo the car and bodykit nicely. Number one choice for why I bought white.

Haha, only if you have an even coat of dust on it...I hate it when my car gets dirty.

white is nice, the polished/white combo is awesome, the pearl white from lexus on like the new gs (probably all their cars) is probably the sickest white i have ever seen. Nothing beats a SUPER black car, where the paint looks like its still wet/dripping off the car though...
