what u guys think is better ? re-drill the wheel or add an adapter ?
are they both safe? I'd think the adapter would be better no ?

i say NO to adapters. Yes it is a quick fix but you loose so much fitment bling. you know what would fit you car is those E Status wheels that guy is giving up

Is redrilling the particular wheel even an option? Not every wheel has a fully flat/solid mounting pad that would accomodate a redrill between existing holes.

ive seen it to where they re drill the wheel in the existing bolt pattern and press in slugs into the new holes (like they dont drill in between the holes, they kindof just oval it out)

I am leaning toward the adaptor side as for now...
but that is for a car with very low offset to begin with
and I am also prepared to roll the fenders flat + negative chamber if i must to
for FWD with adaptors, fender work seems inevitable
the thinnest adaptor I know is 20mm thick
the easist way i could think of is to run more negative chamber and rolled fenders
maybe even stretched tires...
if that is not enough it will probably need a pull or flare
I have a friend who freed about 10mm by rolling fenders on his e46 coupe (about +38 offset)
but he couldn't roll it flat, so he pulled it for 20mm more
I do not know how much negative chamber RL can run
but if you don't mind the thread wear... i think it could help you fit as well
just what i think... anyone is welcome to correct me if* I am wrong
