I took a look under the car (obviously!) and saw 2 mufflers/resinators before he rear axles and then the rear 2 mufflers at the back of the car. My question is....if those 2 rear mufflers are removed and replaced with just straight pipes out the back what would be the result?

Loud?
Are those 2 forward "mufflers" for sound restriction on the stock setup so its quieter?
Are those 2 forward "mufflers" just plain resinators?

I know the I-6 has a sweet low rumble sound to it and I want to unleash that but I dont want it to be too loud. I wanna hear what you guys think on this subject. Thanks.

OK....so, I took the mufflers off the car and just ran it for a day without them and the sound is very nice. Not loud at all! From around 2K - 4K RPM it has an excellent sound. The only problem that I ran into was that there was too much flow from what I could tell. There wasnt as much power due to the loss of backpressure.

Dont know if anyone really cares but I did it and got it over with! Now I know that I need to run mufflers and thats that!
