Just wonderin why everyone decided to build up a VIP car? What influenced you?

Well, I can't really say I've gone Vip yet. But what attracted me to Vip is how clean it is, and the attention to detail.

It's been a long road for me...with few people on this board introducing thestyle to me. I have been into the whole show scene, then I moved into my going fast phase...which didn't last for too long. I am going to go back to it soon when Ihave the money. After my Eclipse broke I actually decided to put an end to modifying cars. That's when I found out Shawn bought a previa, and after talking to him, he suggested VIP style. That's when I joined this site. At first I actually didn't like the whole look...but like many things it grew on me. I still don't like the hardcore VIP cars...it's ust not my style, but the EXE really reflected my tastes. I have allready made a mistake once on picking an unpopular car to fix up (my Galant), so this time I wanted to get a good platform to start out with. I was going to get a GS for myself, but after seeing and test driving the Q...I fell in love. Even now I don't want to follow the "norm"...I let VIP style influence me, not guide me.
So to summ it all up...I like VIP style because it enhances the overall look of the car, it reflects my own style, and I love driving in comfort.

At first I was seeing all the Extreme VIP cars..not feeling it, just not me, ..I started to see the EXE style and new right then and there
that this is how I want my car to look. At first I thought of VIP EXE style as kind of more Euro looking..I love Euro cars so stylish! after talking
with people and reading and research I just couldnt seem to get enough so I sais to myself, I will build my car like that and then rather than drueling
over someother guys/girls car I could druel over my car...but for the most part a LUXURY car slammed ,little camber, wide wheels ,agressive offsets..well
that sais it all..

The style basically is what attracted me to VIP. I like and accpet many other styles of tuning too, but this is on of my favorites. TThe look and stance of the cars is the biggest thing about VIP I like. Like firelizard said, the attention to detial too is very amazing.

I think bippu is just awesome for the fact that it is one of the only few tuning style cars you can drive around in a business suit
imagine doing that in a souped up civic... and you will see what I mean

So i did a custom Paint on my Bike ya know.

But some times the Bike tips over.
Then i got the Handle bars. Ya Moon Style.
Then i got Junction produce Flag on the Back REPRESENTING
& i got Garson flushed leather on my seat.
& and to look flashy. i got the Wald Baby blue Pedals. Just to make things look more attractive

Vip is Unique.
It just has that Special thing to it.
Clean Look & its sick.

LOL! Maybe i got into it a little earlier than some of you guys. I started looking when wild & crazy was all the rage. I loved the cartoon-styling and i loved the idea of taking an expensive luxury car and taking a grinder to the fenders. Normal Fenders hardly even rated a mention in the mags
Now that i have owned one of them crazy wide cars, I can move onto something a little more sedate and practical (still digging the cartoon-like camber and subtle flares though)

the very first time i picked up a vip wagon magazine at a grand opening at a local tsutaya bookstore 6 years ago
saw an ody with 19x9 +6 offset up front, 19x11 -6 offset in the back with over fenders
it was during the days when civics were becoming the big hype along with intro of TFATF.
couple years later, sold my prelude and bought my dads 95 odyssey to get away from the compact crowd

well after yrs and yrs of building euros, i thought i'd start a new store demo/shop vehicle that embodies what i perceive the next "trend" will be in hawaii... plus i always wanted to build a VIP-inspired car like the y33 cima or the UCF30 celsior (just never found a blk on blk until 3 months ago). also, the only race track on hawaii was closed due to funding and all your drift s13s and s14s have no where to legally drift their cars, so i think the next big thing people in hawaii will be building i think are big-body VIP cars modeled after VIPCAR magazines... there is already a shortage of blk on blk q45s, LS400 and other popular vip chasis cars... i :smitten: my y33 cima!!! mikey

for me it was all about growing up. ive built just about every style of car from slammed swapped jdm hondas, to a show car prelude, a 12 sec show car wrx, restored a 74 porsche 911, 12 sec turbo civic, etc
i feel like i experienced what i needed to in each style and did it all on my own to further my knowledge. im only 20, but i feel like ive grown up to not want a car that wakes up all my neighbors or screams "teenager" as i drive it. ive known i wanted a luxury car for a while now and ive grown to appreicate vip styling. since im working at a job that my career is based on, if i take clients out i cant have them strapped down in takata harnesses. as i researched more and more ive learned a lot more. it just has a lot of class and history behind it that you cant help but to appreciate.

wow, 20 yrs old and already demonstrating the level of maturity that people 5-10 yrs older than you don't have. very proud of you man, really reminds of me of some guys in my car club, executive konnexion, dudes in they early 20s rocking luxury and sport luxury whips but still keepin it real and always remembering to be humble, courteous and mature both in-person and online. k-den, mikey
