pics of my mythos front bumper
all i have to say is that this kit is a horrible fit.. nothing lines up.. :tickedoff:
i should have went with a lip kit.
on the plus side.. i'm learning how to do fiberglass work.. its messy but a lot easier to work with than i imagined.. :)

thats a jdm bumper right???? is the sentia just totally different from the US version. or did you leave on the "crush bar" thats why it didnt fit. anyhow, i cant wait to see that on your car. i actually wanted to get a sentia but i went for the y33. but man, cant wait!!

Yeah, is it because its a JDM bumper on a USDM Sentia? Or because its a badly made kit?

Definitely a good point. Could be the US rebar affecting the fitment.

yeah, its required for our US cars to either take of the crush bar or shave it down. either front or rear bumpers
crush bars don't seem to be in the way..
its actually the lines that don't match up.. its off an 8th here, 8th there, etc... all those 1/8ths add up to big ugly gaps..
even the fog lights openings were off.. the holes were about 1 inch lower from where my fog lights were mounted.. i had to fab lowering brackets for the fog lights.. even after that i had to cut a little of the bumper and form new fiberglass so everything would fit tight..
(like you guys mentioned) i'm thinking its because the bumper is JDM and my car is US.
i actually wanted to get a sentia but i went for the y33. but man, cant wait!!
good choice.. between the 2, i'd rather have the y33..
but i had my sentia for a while and she is paid off* :) so i'm stick'en with her

i really don't have any pics other than those "in construction" shots...
my old pics are basically stock pics.. not really much to see..
right now i have my stock wheels on and my sus is a makeshift air setup..

yea aim trying to get godfathers or euroline DH or similar style mags.currently interested in 9.5" at the back but they pretty deep dished...im not sure if they will fit under the guards(i still got stock susp.)but i dnt want them to stick out that much
don't know much about aerodynamics, but does that lip on my rear bumper serve a huge purpose (thats noticable)?
i'm not really feel'n looking and leaning towards closing it up..

aerodynamics... you are worried about aerodynamics on a large, four door sedan? :2funny:
I would worry more about the flow of the kit with the car, do the side skirts have something similar? the front bumper? make sure everything still looks and feels 'even'.

no aerodynamics
leave the lip/step alone it makes the car flow with the ground. you'll regret

I agree, the step gives it character

Where did you get the kit from...?.... I have never seen a mythos kit w/ gaps, unless the crush bar is still in place or the car had been in an accident in the past,,,
that pic is a bit misleading.. the gaps are only an 8th here and there.. which adds up :tickedoff: when try'en to align the gaps. if one side is off even an 8th everything else ends up being off..
that one pic that i posted has the passenger's side headlight off. so it looks like the kit does not fit by a half a foot...but if you look at the drivers side with the headlight.. its snug..
i've gotten acquainted with fiberglass and bondo.. so all is cool now... just make'em fit..

that kit looks to be made of lesser quality fiberglass in the first place...is it a knockoff? it looks like it fits like all the shitty ebay kits kids bring down here for us to make fit for them. it doesnt seem to be that bad tho, ive seen alotttttttt worse.
i don't think its a knockoff.. i surely didn't pay a knockoff price...* it did sit in a storage container for about a month when it was shipped from overseas... then it sat in my storage unit for more than a year.. maybe the heat from the storage units shifted the shape... who knows.. no biggy, tho.. i eventually got'em to fit ..
