Nah....it's only like a bunch of sugar, some water, some CO2, some phosphoric acid, and some flavouring. And caffeine...mm... :P
I've been having a can of Coke almost everyday, sometimes twice a day at school for the past few weeks and I'm not dead yet :)
Of course I'll probably feel it when I'm 40 :(

Waitress: Hi, I'm Vivian and I'll be your waitress for the night.* What would you like to drink?
Me: I'll have a coke
Waitress: What kind of coke would you like?
Me: Mountain Dew.* thank you!
Waitress: I'll be right out with your coke.* Is there anything else I can get for you?
Me: How about your phone number?
Waitress: Well my boyfriend is out of town.* would you like to come over tonight to have hot steamy sex?

You guys call all pop "coke"?

I shouldn't be suprised when other brand names have become so engrained that people think the product is called the brand name

eg NOS, Rollerblades, Kleenex etc

TLontheDL

eg NOS, Rollerblades, Kleenex* etc

its all part of marketing by having brand name out there for us to use as general terms. if you want a tissue, you'll ask if anybody has a KLEENEX. its psychology. same goes with coke :-\ some of us are suckers

we are brainwashed!

Who says "Lets go inline skating" ha
nope you say "Lets go rolerblading" then we go home and hit the NOS

Yeah, not to mention it kills our vocabulary.
"Pass me the box of facial tissue?"
"wtf is a facial tissue?"
"It's a tissue for wiping your face"
"You're making that up, facial isn't a word, it's Kleenex!"
