slowly but surely, the VIP look is catching on in Chicago. In retrospect of this summer, I attended 6 events around Chicago and gained a little more recognition each time. 1st show being HIN, I walked away empty handed. But that was the debut and people didn't understand it. So I began bringing Stylewagons books and the catalog from W-Blood and that helped a little. So I went to Chicago Formula D that ended up not having a show at all. But we went and exhibted for Scion and the car was well received by both spectators and drivers. That is when I began getting some exposure. I tried BOTI in June and won best overall Scion. I hit HIN-Nightshift in July and won Hottest Mild Scion. That was the turning point. We had a local Toyota show and got 2nd place in the xB catagory. I finished the year with another best overall Scion at BOTI this last weekend. I began to realize it's presentation as well. If your not there to show your car, then what will set it apart from the rest? Seems the judges like that. the enthusiasm and excitment to show them your car is key. I ened up with pics on www.azines.com and www.autoimportcraze.com. I turned up on SRT neon forums and I'm sure on many more. There was a pic of the xB on BOTI's site for yesterdays event as well. I thought that was cool. otherwise, I'd thought I'd share this as VIP doesn't get a lot of attention anyway. It really is an underground style. At least in the Midwest anyway. Thanks for reading and the support. I'm not sure how next year will go as I have a baby coming in May. Hopefully I'll get a JDMJr. ;D. But I may not be able to show as often like I hit alot of shows anyway.
