Anyone seen any VIP Style or even dumped on aggressive wheels Chevy Malibu? I have one and actually want to stay away of the usual riding big on a Chevy theme here in Miami. Was going to go originally on 22's but now thinking dropping or slamming it on 20s or even 22. Anyone with any help as is what should I look for would be greatly appreciated.

No. I'm going to suggest you do more reading about what Vip style actually is, and you'll find your answers there.
Since you registered before the change over you haven't been limited to Vip 101, but I would still suggest reading all the "Stickies" in that area as they are rich in information for people new to Vip.
Cheers

Man how this site has changed. I haven't been in here for a good yr or so. I know my care isn't a true platform but I thought to myself since I does not have true American styled body maybe the Japanese picked it up. Like when the 300 came out I remember there was a few VIP kits ou for it and a few VIP styled. Sorry if I upsetted or bohered anyone by posting a question in the "other vehicle section for VIP enthusiast who enjoy the VIP culture."

I haven't seen any Malibu's done up at all. Doesn't mean you can't be the first :)
Just take the stylings you like from here and make it your own. It would be a very interesting build to watch. Of course there will be people who will be "that car ain't a VIP car" and of course, it doesn't fit the criteria that people have set forth. However, take it as it is and just do your thing. Nothing should stop you from being "VIP inspired"

Firelizard, it's all good. Thanks for all the insipiring words. I'm already looking for suspension parts and then I'll see what size/fitment rims to get.

Hahaha. Yea I feel you but I was gonna do 20"s the biggest but will probably do 19". I just found out I will have to do a bolt/hub swap because my car is 5x110 and barely any good wheels for it. I will probably go for the 5x114-5 swap.

Hey, I'm new to the site. I am currently trying to give my 2007 saturn Aura XR the VIP inspired look. The Aura is pretty much the same car as the Malibu and has the 5x110 bolt pattern. I didn't want to do a swap so I had the local shop get ahold of a complany that could drill out a "blank" to my bolt pattern. I plan on slamming it on some springs this winter along with many more things. But that is always an option for you. Find a company that can Drill a "Blank" for you

????? Why do you think that?
Anyhoo, I noticed the Malibu around and Thought to myself it might make an interesting project. I can't say how i feel about it. I've seen them with wheels on them and lip spoilers...They a definitely a different looking car.
Good luck with the build!

Hmmmm..well a Malibu is a whole diffrent project in itself, but I am optimistic that any ride can be built. Do alot of homework(VIP 101) and stay true to the scene:rules:, who knows..you may pull it off. Take critisms in stride :slap:!!! Good luck on build and post some progress pics.

When I hear "Chevy" all I can think is LRM or "LOWRIDER" - not that there is anything wrong with lowrider, that's just what comes to mind for me, but, that does not mean you have to go with the traditional lowrider theme (swivel chairs, crushed velvet, dingle balls hanging from the ceiling, etc.) Do your own thing man, I'm sure one could be hooked up well, not my cup of tea, but if you have a vision, you know better than I do what that is and go for it. One thing I DO like about the new Malibu is the fact that they incorporated a Chevy bow tie into the reflectors on the sides of the rear bumper. I tripped out on that at a red light the other day LOL.

Friendly word of advise. Curtains, rain guards, and tables don't make it VIP.
However, 1 size fits all hydraulics would be a great start and from there its pick your wheels and add some exterior mods. I have a few ideas if you'd like me to share them PM me.

Plenty of good wheels are made in this bolt attern. ATS, Borbet, Kerscher, Rial, and many more. Always remember to check euro wheel makers, a lot of cars in europe have uncommon bolt patterns. For yours, the opel/vauxhall vectra C is the same.

Some 20" wheels I put on a customer's Malibu. Not an attempt at anything remotely relevant to Vip, he just wanted flashy wheels. Would have liked to drop it for him but I haven't found drop springs for the Malibu yet.

Personally, I think 20" is a bit big for the car but it could work with the right stance.
