Hey everyone, I'm new to the scene, I've always loved the VIP Styled/ VIP cars and thought it's about time to get involved, I'm in Melbourne and was wondering if we could get the Majesta in Australia?? I know that Dominik did a basic rundown of what you can get here for between 10-30 grand, I was wondering what else we can get here I've sorta only found 2 Cima's and 2 Q45's for sale what other car's are there PLEASE include Manufacturer as in not all that familiar with the models of these car yet. A thank-you ahead of time. P.S Dominik your Cima makes me want one REAL bad, that's sooooo HOT dude.

No-one want's to help?? :o Damn, even if you list 2 or 3 different types like Infinit Q45t or something like that it will kill them off one by one, I just wanna know the different types of OG platform's. Like the one's that JP make kits for and stuff. Anyway thanks again. :tickedoff: Matt

Give us some time dude! Its like saturday night, most people are sleeping or out getting drunk at this time...
What model Crown Majesta are you after? There are roumors in the grapevine that 180-series Crowns will be available to import in the next couple of years. But start saving; i doubt you'll get one for under $40k... And then you have a car that will halve in value every 2yrs
No other crowns are currently able to be imported (except the 88 model ones).
The F50 Cima will be available soon. That will set you back around $30k though. Same deal with depreciation
My current fave would be a local-delivered '94 Q45, you see them popping up from time to time, at around $10-14k, and they do up really well. Local model means useless and failure-prone active suspension is gone, makes it easier to install coilovers.

I think i figured it out: if this works what is the car on the right??
Is the Q45 a Front wheel drive??

Its a conventional RWD V8, thats just a funky intake manifold
The car on the right in your pic is a 140 series crown majesta. Would have been allowed under the old import rules, but with the new rules it is very doubtful that it will be allowed in.
If you want one of those your best bet is to scour the trading post, and if you know anyone in QLD ask them to look for one that is already imported (lots of strange imports made it to QLD in the past)

Your not wrong about the intake manifold, makes it look like a FWD.
Do you know around what year of Crown Majesta that is? I keep looking a VIP car's and that one seem very popular in Japan, and USA for that matter. I love them I think they look really good, or I like a UCF10R, I think they look good too. I know I can get one of those easily here in Vic sorta cheap too, like $8k-$18k. But like I said before I love that model of the Crown Majesta. :smitten:

Thats a '91~94 or 95 (not sure of the end date, but i know it started in '91 because i was hoping and waiting for the 15yr rule to include them). It couldnt be popular in the US cos they were only released in Japan, perhaps you are looking at the Y33 Cima/Q45? (looks kinda similar)
The 140 Crown Majesta's were very popular in Japan though, and there were some crazy widebody conversions on them that looked ultra smooth. Popularity is dying down a bit now though, as the trend is towards newer cars. Means the older cars like these can be bought very cheap; but unless you are willing to have someone over there drive the car for you for 1 year, before bringing it back as a personal import, you are going to have a hard time getting one!
Celsiors are the obvious choice in Australia, but they arent exactly unique anymore; everyone seems to go for them! You might start seeing a few people attempting to do Aristo's up soon, as all the drifter boys will be keen to have something that can still drift, and look vip
Like i said, if you want to do something different and unique, go for the G50 Q45. Otherwise be prepared for a long search!

(widebody, wheels etc..) anyways what do you think a G50 Q45's worth and whatda they look like?? i'm kinda lost :uglystupid2: when it comes to looking for different models of jap cars as there's so many the same with different names, pleeaassee help, thanks again. G50 Q45 is the one you found (i.e. from '90 to '95?)... F50 is the current shape
My cima came with the widebody/wheels but it was pink and had issues with the bodywork. I knew nobody in Australia would be able to do bodywork like that (they would stuff it up), so i went with a pre-made one, and tried to improve on it a little :)
