Hey everyone,

I have a set of 20x9 and 20x10 rims I would like to chuck onto my 91` LS400. I used to run a 265/30 and a 285/30 tire and have since flared the rear guards quite a bit (now needing a 50mm spacer with proposed tire combo) until I finally make up my mind on a new set of rims with an ideal offset.

What I would like to know is, how many have stretched tires on their 20’s? and what tire combo did you use?

I have found a brand that makes a 225/30/20 tire and would like to run that as I want to achieve a seriously low profile look with big stretch - Am I asking too much to be using a 30 profile? Should I just go to the 40 profile for safety reasons? Will the 225 tire stretch out enough on a x10 rim? Opinions on going to a 215 tires even?

I had considered the brand's 235/30 but are unsure if the effect I’m after will be achieved?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Josh.

Some discussion on 20" tyre setups here: http://vipstylecars.com/forum/index.php?topic=4948.0

I think that will be extremely stretched, but i would wait for someone with experience before stating that as fact...

235/35/20 f and 255/35/20 r = mild stretch

225/35/20 f and 245/35/20 r = big stretch

225/30/20 f and 235/35/20 r = wild strech

that's more like a recommended tire for that size wheel...try a 245/30 on that :coolsmiley:
