Lexus OR Toyota??? LS400 or Celsior???

I was just wondering ( Remember I'm in Australia ) Is a Toyota Celsior a JDM car or is the Lexus LS400??? I'm sorta getting a bit confussed on what is an Australian original car or what is imported??? I'm thinking that the Lexus is an Australian car and the Toyota Celsior is a JDM car??? Is this right??? Please help!!!!!! :buck2:

Yes I know that, what I'm trying to find out is if Japan made Toyota Celsior's and badged them Lexus LS400 OR if Lexus LS400 is from Australia, America etc........Somewhere on here I read that they only just opened a Lexus is Japan........So that makes me think that all the LS400/Celsior that came out of Japan where badged Toyota Celsoir's NOT Lexus LS400's??? Can someone shed some light?? Also I'm refering to UCF10/11's

In japan its called a TOYOTA CELSIOR

in America its LEXUS LS400

You're right, I think back then Lexus was made in Japan for overseas export. I'm not sure about other countries, but here in the US we never had a UCF 10/11 badged as a Celsior from the factory. So Lexus never existed in Japan during then, and they were importing Lexus LS 400s from the US, into Japan just for the Lexus brand and the handle being on the left side. Like BoOsty said, they're the same car, I think. I guess if you're going to be specific, the Celsior would be "more" JDM in that case.

Yeah I was thinking that, ( Celsior being more JDM) I think it was the version with Airbag suspension??? I dont know if the LS400 cam out with Airbag's did it?? I want to get an UCF10/11 With Airbag suspension and for some reason I DONT want an Original Austalian Version, I want an Original Japan Version, that's why I asked if they made the LEXUS LS400 in Japan or not.........

I do know the ucf10/11 can w/ opional air ride in the rear .. its a pain in the ass when it goes out and also $$$

Fair enough but would you beable to get aftermarket bag's to fix it if it goes???

OK, i think they might be confusing you with info regarding the LS400 in the US.

In Australia the LS400 was only ever released by Lexus, and never offered with airbag suspension. The Toyota Celsior's are all imported from Japan, and alot of these have airbag suspension as well as reclining rear seats and other options that the LS400 never got.

So:
Toyota Celsior: JDM
Lexus LS400: AUDM
Air suspension: Toyota Celsior
