I know there is only a few parts for these cars, and guess what, no bags yet. Anyways, there's a series of body kits including Auto Couture, Wald, AC Schitzner, Hartge, etc that looks nice, but not "VIP" styled enough. Are there any running around in Japan? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Also, there are no Air Runner or Canover kits I could use for the 7, so are there any other alternatives? The best I could find was a set of $2500 KW Variant 3 coilovers that lower the car approximately 2.5", which is low, but not low enough. Let me know! PLEASE POST PICS!!! Thanks guys, Alex 8)
SORRY NO PICS but i have contributions in terms of recommendations in dropped the car
if there's no other alternatives, we indo cut springs, cheap way to get 'em slammed

A vehicle such as a 7 shouldn't even be considered riding on cut springs. :)

I have to agree with the poster here...
BMWs are getting attentions from the VIP tuning firms
but none of them are done up in traditional VIPstyle like the Benzs
it's rather dissapointing... :'(
oh well i think airrunner do make 'em for 7 series?don't they?
i'm guessing because i see they made them for e90 n e46 :)

I wish!!! I looked on their website and the only thing BMW was for the e46 3 series chassis. Sucks...

KW will go lower than 2.5 inch. What they list is not the lowest point. We put 5 series on the ground almost and KW said 2.1. It was way more.

You have any pics bro? The guy at D2 has a set of KW on his 745li and it dropped it pretty low. He said it was around 2.5" and could go a little more. I have the I think they are rated at 2.3"/2.1". The problem is that I have the "i" which has the shorter wheelbase, which means that its a little lighter so it wouldn't drop as much as the "Li" would. I would love to see a set on a 7 at the lowest setting to see if it's low enough.

Yea, I've seen that. The best JDM kit for the 7 is Auto Couture. Wald is too expensive and not that good looking. Fabulous looks almost stock. I think that's the only 3 JDM companies that deal with the 7.

Does anyone know where else we can find some kit pictures? I remember coming across a few kits from Japan that looked sick, but now I cannot find them. If anyone has pics please post them.

kw's listing is never their lowest drop point, at least thru what i've discovered thru the world of vw's, in actually their full range is anywhere from 0-4-5" depending on what application....
ive heard they list the "safe" drop height where you still achieve good handling but im not sure...
all i know is ive got a buncha friends who rock kw v1's and v2's on their mk3's and mk4's (vw) and the stats they give is nowhere near the maximum drop for their products

all these suspension comapies from GErmayn like KW and FK list usually up to 2.75" maximum drop but in reality can go as low as 5" the reason behind that is for TUV (German DOT) rules, which state that certain cars can only be lowered to a certain amount. From my experiance FK will go much lower then KW or any other "know" brand out there, except H&R Ultra Lows

Can you enlighten us then? Or point me where to go find out more about putting air on my 745.

the 7 series doesn't really need a bodykit, most body kits cheapen the already nicely designed bumpers.
the problem is, you'll lose ambition to fix up your car after all your maintenance and repair costs of a bmw benz.

wald has some pimp kits .. even though i like asanti wheels .. its just too common to see a e65 or e66 with asantis .. maybe some modulares or weds ?
I work on BMW's for a living .. havent seen a 7 with air yet, .. i would assume if you aired your 7 you could get all kinds of faults with the DSC and ARS (MAYBE) .. plus if you put air on your 7 and you get all those kinds of problems .. the minute the dealer see's the tank and pumps in your trunk .. your gonna have to start diggin in your pocket for diagnosis time .. warranty will not cover it .. if you get air done .. make sure its done by someone who has done many e65/66's

I know it will kill the warranty which sucks, but my dealership already said it won't affect the powertrain/interior/electrical warranty; just the suspension warranty will be voided. But that is typical anytime you mod a car that is under warranty. Personally my 7-Series has been extremely reliable and so have many of my friend's German cars so I think that is more a myth that everyone seems to believe. I do agree the Asanti's are playted out and I am really leaning towards AutoCouture, &Swiss, or Forgiato for wheels. Now I just need to find someone who is very knowledgable about universal air ride.

i dont kno but from my understanding when it comes to big body 4 door cars only(not boxes or eggs) i always thought ls400(older) or q45(g50) werr the VIP cars..and something like a 7 series is an exe style car..iono not trying to start a debate its just from what ive seen...cuz if ive seen a VIP mercedes or bmw its an older body style...like early 90's or even older.
