how should i repair a rip in my 15 inch memphis sub? i dont know what supplies i need and how to go about this.thanks
elaborate on the quaestion, then we can help (amp, spl vs. sq, model, etc.).

there is a perfect slit that cuts in the outer foam surface, no rip in the cone. You cant tell there is a rip until you push it in or pinch it the slice.
ohhh... my bad, i'm drunk. you might be able to get a recone kit from memphis or 3rd party thar will include the surround.
*edit - the other solution is ca glue... the surround isnt too serious,

cant find and recon kits but all i need to do is seal it up with some goop or silicone and it will be fine?

I'd recommend a new speaker if you can afford that as opposed to re-coning a used sub.
Sometimes you can get lucky and score a used sub in good shape on Craigslist or Ebay.

A little CA glue will work fine. I did this with my Soundstream XXX 15 when in a pinch. Played fine.

this happened to me once on my old type R 12". i reglued it with some really strong loctite (#403 i think) glue. but for some reason it just never sounded the same afterwards so i just bought a new one. you might have more luck tho.
