I don't think people necessarily hate memory fab.. they just had an intriguing rep as having lots of stuff posted on their web site, but w/o really having any substance to show for it. But in this day of internet vendors, anyone can post pics of stuff they find off any Japanese web site and say they carry those parts... and in fact, that's what most do. There was also the interesting issue with their used wheels, where most of the wheels listed would be housed in the "Japanese warehouse" and "may be subject to prior sale." So again, what's stopping someone from posting tons of pics they find on Japanese websites in order to generate interest, and then when you call and order something you see on their site, they can just tell you, "oh that set just sold in Japan." And ultimately, I think a lot of people who were local to the Bay Area expressed concerns about the operation being run out of the dude's parents' Chinese electronics warehouse where a number of empty boxes were being passed off as full of JDM parts... but this was up to a 1.5 years ago, and apparently there is some real stock there now, and the people are nice to talk to on the phone from what I have been told by some folks

interestingly, it's still that way, at least with some wheels. because i contacted them a month ago about a set of wheels, and they are sold out... yet the same wheels still appear on their website. go figure.

I have been to their warehouse in San Fransisco and they have a whole mess of parts there. Rows of body kits and wheels and seats. The guys that worked and owned the NA side of the company was actually quite knoledgeable about what he sold, I was quite impressed. Ill probably be ordering some wheels from them here soon unless there is some drastic reason I shouldnt. I good friend of mine had some Algernons made through them and they took a little on the making and shipping, but they got here and were perfect.

That's what I'm saying. But maybe it's close to San Francisco. I'm too lazy to find out right now. So, who cares?

Let me clear some things up. I don't know what was the point of the thread is, but since someone is questioning our background I might as well explain a few things.

We do infact have a physical office in Japan. We have two owners who partnered up to help source parts from both Japan and USA.

Our Japan side has a binding contract with a used parts chains in Japan to receive periodical XML RSS and picture feeds from their used inventory servers. This is why you might see some of their wheels we list in our Japan1 Inventory

We are currently sharing a warehouse with another company that imports electronics.

It is great to be sure about who you are buying your stuff. I would check on every company that I am buying from, but if there was no experience in purchasing from them why are their negative experiences? I know that in this industry there tends to be a lot of bickering (especially online) between people, but this is not something we would like to do. I would rather share ideas about tuning possibilities. I would never post negative remarks of other businesses or even my competitors if I have not received a bad experience in doing business from them. I know some longtime members on this site that have purchased from us and linked us to here so let them speak for themselves.

I was happy with my transaction with memory fab. A few wheels that I decided on where already sold in Japan until I managed to get a set that was not sold yet. They were very honest and there were no suprises. I would do business with them again.

The used 19" MAE's and chrome Profounds are looking tempting to me right now.
