Jay, you might want to contact this person at the website for customised curtains. Give him the dimensions and he would do it. Some of my friends have customised curtains from him and they are very satisfied with the job. BTW, the prices are in Singapore dollars.

They look pretty good. I say "pretty good" because the rails were the curtains mount has to be trimmed to fit our window frame.Maybe if you get one of the brand name ones you should be fine. I got the generic type from {-.-} that only has certain measurements instead of actual kits for the particular ca.
The LS' frame is curved down at the end so it had to be trimmed a bit.

Sorry for the dirty interior, but will kinda give you an idea on how it looks.

i've emailed steve at http://web.singnet.com.sg/~laiss/ for curtains to be made for my gs400. because i'm in canada, it would cost me $180usd air mailed to me for all 4 side windows. unfortunately, my rear window cannot be done because it's a)too large and b)too steep of an angle for the rails to support and the material would sag in the middle :-[

incidentally he's never done a gs400 before, so he's asked me for photos and dimensions, which i'm in the process of doing. for anyone else with a gs... stay tuned?

I was thinking about the rear window in my GS too. Ask Steve if he can simply have the rear curtain hang straight down, either with or without being on a bottom rail. I did the measurement in my GS, and it is about 36cm from the top of the window straight down to the speaker deck.

Good luck.

for most of the vehicles I've had experience installing Garson/Anceltion curtains on, the sizes I've seen used most frequently have been small and medium. I've got large Garson curtains on my 2 front windows in my 91 LS4 and man, it sags a bit, but the quality makes up for it.

My Anceltion rails at the edges have come undone before due to hot vinyl in the summer so I redid the tape with the gray 3M tape and its been holding up better.

DO NOT DRILL THEM IN!

on the edge of your window sill inside your door, there may be a chrome-ish colored rail piece that lines the bottom of the window (or at least near it). If you have this, rub it down good with alcohol and/or 3M adhesive remover/promoter (both work) ensuring that the chrome trailing piece is clean. Do the same with the black/chrome trailing piece directly above it.

you can now attach your Garson curtain railing to this chrome trim piece instead of trying to tape it to the vinyl on your door. My car sometimes sits in 95+ degree weather and my curtain railing have not come undone, nor has the tape started to wear. tint helps too.

MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE BENDY METAL RAIL AT THE TOP. THE BENDY METAL RAIL NEEDS TO BE BENT IN ORDER TO CONFORM TO THE CURVE OF THE TOP OF YOUR WINDOW.

let me know if you still have any trouble.

Cool ok so I checked and I have that trim except it's blacked out in my case so cool it's there, anyways now i'm stuck only because this trim is roundish while the rails are flat hahahahahaha so square peg in the round hole time??? the bottom and top window trim are both curved? the bottom trim should be straight horizontal and the top trim should be curved (that's where you put the bendy metal rail Garson gives you with the curtain set).

SikNLow

horizontally it is straight, it doesn't curve. But the piece itself isn't flat so I would have to place the rail beside it on the vinyl of the door

I think you and I are confusing ourselves now. If my car was here with me I'd go take a pic and show you real quick.

Ok, your Garson curtain set comes with 2 curtains and 4 black rails. 2 of the rails are plastic and are NOT bendable, the other 2 rails are BENDABLE metal. For each curtain, place a PLASTIC rail at the bottom, and a BENDABLE rail at the top.

When placing it in your car, tape the PLASTIC rail ONTO your black/chrome window trim which should be a metal type which lines the bottom (not the vinyl part of the door). The top of the curtain should be the BENDABLE rail and that's what will conform to the curve at the top of your window trim.

Hopefully, I'm clear this time.

You've been clear the whole time on that!!! hahahahaha Let me be clear...

yes understand the difference in rails, I was figuring it out yesterday and it just made sense that it would work that way, but you helped in cementing that for me! Thanks!

Now on the Window's trim part of it... that's what is roundish... meaning my rails are flat surfaced on the part that sticks to the door via the tape, and the window trim is not flat where you would tape the rail...make sense i hope? But you were clear believe me ...crystal! LOL

just wanna give a big thanks to Sean at LSB. Very good customer service. Got my curtains (Garson Premium Editions) for my Y33 last week. Installed them in 20 mins. I Absolutely love them. Need to order another set for my fronts. Will do shortly. Thanks again LSB

Jay, you might want to contact this person at the website for customised curtains. Give him the dimensions and he would do it. Some of my friends have customised curtains from him and they are very satisfied with the job. BTW, the prices are in Singapore dollars.

I have traded e-mails over the past few days with Steve hoping to have him make something for my GS400. He basically told me that the GS400 (due to its curved windows) is "not DIY-friendly" and that I "should not proceed". Meanwhile I saw his pics of the passenger-side rear of a Hyundai Sonata (also curved) with a full setup. WTF??? Can anyone provide a nice clean, fully functional curtain setup? Or do I have to call Mom and have her bust out the sewing machine??lol.

There's some pretty sweet looking curtain setups around here
I hope mine don't look too bad in comparision

Originally I wanted factory Mercedes curtains but they are very rare and very expensive. A guy I know has a Mercedes like mine and it has factory curtains (rear-side and back window) they are of a far, far superior quality than the ones I now have...but I make do

Just out of curiosity, did any Japanese car companies have a curtain option from the factory?

Yes, Mitsubishi apparently...

It had curtains on the rear side windows as well. The curtain ties/straps had Mitsubishi labels on them.

i got the same reply from the guy for my g50 q45...i was just wondering how does the bar bend to the curve of the q45 front door frame to cover the whole window without the fabric itself being cut at a wierd angle...like would you just cut it in a rectangle to the lengh of the door from b pillar to the edge of the farthest part of the window?(which is quiet small.) If anyone would have pics that would be much appreciated.

The bars on curtain sets bend pretty easily, they have notches cut in them on one end about 1/2" apart to make bending for curves easy. However, the tape they come with doesn't hold well on the curved area so I got some outdoor 3M tape at Lowes. Nearly 4 years later, still holding strong.
