Yep, I have been there before but never for more than a weekend. I am looking forward to spending some real time there. Trying to pick up an LS400 (or 430) when I get down there and get on my feet. I have an SR20DET'd S13 wich I am ripping apart right now. I am keeping the engine and ditching the car before I come down. Hope to build the engine and then find something fun to put it into later. In the mean time it is VIP time. Are there any shops (tuning shops) down in the Miami area that are worth a crap? I have been spoiled by having friends at shops and friends in the fabricating business around here...

Ah, I should've posted on here before my trip to Orlando last weekend. We could've held a small mini meet. I ended up driving around downtown Orlando and saw a few tuner cars on Orange Ave and Columbia on Saturday night.

well there are a few shops here and there that are catered primarily to japanese cars but it seems they dont last too long. 80% of our goods come from the internet/mailorder.

correct, there are some shop links on the links page but none of them are worth mentioning. racing zone was a bad ass shop but i think it closed down. now that i think about it Enjuku Racing is in tampa i believe but they are more of a drifter geared shop.

I am from Tampa, and hope to get the convertible a little more VIP as time progresses, but anyways, shops in FL are growing in numbers, though I think it will be hard to find anything that caters to the traditional VIP cars. Tampa is home to XAT Racing, Z Fever, and Driven Concepts. The owner of Driven Concepts is currently building a mean GS300/Aristo, but thats the closest your going to get. Enjuku is actually located in Orlando and is definately drift oriented. There are also numerous shops that are just popping up and really havent gotten a name out as of yet. Speaking of the owner of Racing Zone, a coworker and I got into a verbal argument about wheelsize and offset for the rears of the 2GS. 'Claims he called the owner of RZ and replied saying if I wanted to fit , at least, 10"-wide wheels in the rear, I would have to do heavy modification. Riiight.

I really don't even know. There were talks of meets previously but nothing ever materialized before I left. My car is in Italy now....now if you want to ask how many VIP car owners there are in Italy......1. J/K

Here in Jacksonville i spotted a black VIP GS (????), it was tight as hell. There's another guy here with an white F50 (Qshadow). Those are the only other VIP platforms i've seen here in jax locally. Also we have one of the tightest XB (Dajap) here too.

The last 2 events were at the Riverplace shopping center near the airport, where the Hollywood theatres is at. It's a more mature crowd, not the typical import street racing meet. Lots of exotics porsches, bimmers, Lambo with Work VS-XX wheels, last meet they had a Noble there too. I think they have Cars and Coffee in San Diego and Las Vegas too, as well as other locations. If you didn't already know, I have a 99 GS that's black/black. My brother also has a 99GS, but it's white/tan.

Both are rolling on stockers but are lowered via coilovers. Here's what mine looks like:
