So I've always been into the JDM Tuner culture; Had several Civics, CRX's, del Sol's and an Integra, but it finally came to the point where I needed something relatively sensible and a hell of a lot more fuel efficient than VTEC would allow.. So I started shopping around for an BMW E46 Diesel Saloon with the intention of dropping it crazy low, and remapping it for some decent performance.. I was selling one of the del Sol's to pay for it, so I didn't have a huge amount to spend, and the Beemer's were just coming in too expensive for the spec I wanted.

Anyway, two things happened simultaneously to get me into the whole VIP Style culture; I found the car below for sale at around half the price of an E46 despite the fact that under the bodyshell it's a top of the range 320D, and a friend of mine suggested I pay a visit to Wheel-*****s.com knowing full well I was into that scene. Well, it just came together in my head right then and there, and a UKDM VIP Style car was born!

Sure, it's not for the purists, and some will say it's not VIP Style at all.. But it makes me smile, and the comment it gets on the streets are fantastic.. She's dropped 50mm / 70mm on coilovers, the rims are 19" Audi R8 wheels, and there's a little more chrome on there now.. The interior has been retrimmed in black leather, the dash refinished in polished black oak, and there are more plans for a custom Piano Black dash with chrome inserts.

She's currently undergoing a bit of a facelift with front and rear lips, new sideskirts, bootlip spoiler, quad exhaust conversion and a set of multispoke 20's instead of the 19's.. Next up will be air ride, because I'm just not happy with how high she sits! =)

Comments welcomed, I know it's not everyone's taste, but I'll keep on building her irrespective.

that dub emblem needs to come off. i'm not particularly feeling it, but it could be worse. and as long as you like it...

In all honesty, and this is just my opinion, to me I like the car, except for the front end. I think it's the head lights that throw it off for me.

I am not a big fan of the front end but everything else looks real clean. Just lower it some more. Welcome to the site

I love rovers...my Godmother in Portugal has one and they are very comfortable and ride ready nice. I would say to do something with the grill and a lip may help with the headlights. Take the dub badge off too :P. Keep it up though!

yeah, I was gonna say, it's a Rover right? All the info on the car you didn't get, but no info / specs on the one you did get! I love the body style, and once you lower it more, the 19's would be just right IMO. Definitely take off the DUB sticker though, otherwise, very nice start.
