Lately there has been sooooooo much bullshit on here by all these new people thinking they are god's gift to VIPstyle...w/out a VIPcar. I dont get it. These forums have always been so chill and relaxed and everyone got along (for the most part), and everyone was here to talk about their passion for VIPcars, share advice, and make new friends. Now, there's been a huge influx of kids that have recently joined causing all this drama and making bullshit posts. Its kinda sad, and i feel as though this is only the beginning...

Try lookingin Las Vegas recycler or auto trader .. they always have old LS400, cressida limo`s for sale..

My car is getting repainted this month...almost done the prep, gonna roll the inner fender lips and give 'em a slight tug while I'm at it..
When my budget recovers, I'll order in a 2.25" drop hopefully in time for summer. Then saving for wheels. (on top of all the other lil' things that add up)

I totally agree with you. You can really see the change in the past year. When I initially signed up, I was shocked at the knowledge and respect that was on the forum which drew me into the whole scene.

Now, more and more kids are joining which is cool if they act in a mature way and take the time to learn about the VIP culture. Instead they make bullshit posts. Newbs are giving incorrect information which will confuse other newbs and this will cause the scene to go in the wrong direction in the states.

Picture of their VIP or non VIP platform vehicle.
Strong background with other forums.(keeps the stupid int'l vendors for unrelated goods)
Should put new guidelines before posting irrelvant posts.
Give a day or two suspensions for members who posts anything stupid.
If you've got a negative comment(we all need to be honest here), please be mature and reply back with good courtesy.
Use the search button! or PM one of the mods to help you find pictures or articles and whatnot.

thats quite harsh. a paragraph. lol. this is not school. but i do understand you. this is a forum for advise, creations, ideas,etc. and i admit that there are a lot of stupid posts. but if theyre stupid, then dont reply. ignore it. theyll get the idea. ive gotten some where barely anyone replied, then i got the idea. but then again, some people are stupid :-\. the 240 crowd posts the same thing again and again about vip with their s chassis cars. read it, stupid, then forget about it. even though coming from just selling my 240.

I think problem is question post. What this wheel, how you fit this, what is best fiment for LS400. All can change from one owner to other owner and taste. People afraid to learn and get easy way out. VIP is personal expression not copy this or that.

Theres a number of forums that does have a screening process. Paragraph may be harsh, but something of a lesser degree would be great. Not to be rude...but what's the point of having members who don't have a VIP car, who are not planning on getting one, and are here to ask pointless questions, or make comments that stirrup flame wars. I know that Mitsubishi Eclipse forums have a screening process, where they review the type of car you have, the current and future mods and decide if you should belong to the forum.

I am for the screening process. VIP is going to go in the wrong direction if newbs come on here and see non VIP cars posted up on here. That will lead them to believe that their car can one day be VIP. Now problems that will occur would be posers taking pics from other peoples car's and acting like they own it.



Another idea would be to leave the forum open to all but certain sections like the toyota/lexus, infiniti/nissian, interior and exterior would be open to those who have been cleared by mods to post in.

My mini paragraph and thoughts on this forum.....

I came here because I know of a couple of people whome I have respect for when it comes to Car styling or just people I consider nice guys.

Yes, I have 'That' Soarer that people love and hate. Makes no difference to me, because its exactly where I want it and how I want to be....Im happy. It's Original and built it on my own terms.* Now that the SC has become more affordable, its on its way to being the 'next 240sx'. Along with that comes some of the ignorant crowd that have moved to the SC platform.* :'(

I still have a couple SC's (I had 3 this summer, sold one) and two 240's because of Drifting, but thats the extent of my association. After my 300 is finished this winter, I'll sell the 240's to pick up an LS400 or 430 to start a REAL VIP project. ;)

With that in mind, I started to distance myself from that 240/SC scene and picked up an SL500 at the end of summer. Im assuming it would be more of an EXE style tho. :-\ But I'm looking forward to 'talking shop' with a more mature crowd either here or one of the MB Forums im on. I actually post there as a 'guy' to get a feel for the site(s)* :knuppel2:* LoL!!

I can accept my position in the Import Tuner scene as a 'public' one. I know that I have to take the bad with all the good that comes along with it....and im ok with that, because It far outweighs the bad* 8)* *But there are some places where you expect it and sum places that you think are kinda above all that BS....to a point.

This is getting close... I believe this is ride height with coilovers (cuz you know how crazy they are over there).... and I'd estimate the kit (once installed) and rails to be no more than 2-2.5" above ground. If it were to run air...which maybe it will eventually??...it could prob easily lay frame/destroy kit, AND show off wheels vs tucking them way in...
