Yoink!

Loverly desktop backgrounds, thankyou!!

Great cars... I do have a bit of a bias towards them though. Had a few repairs along the way which arent cheap, but overall still happy. I have to admit i never thought much of that kit when i saw it before (isnt that like one of the ones that sell for 30,000yen on Yahoo?), but on this car it looks great. Low without being silly and not as 'racy' as i thought.

Anyway, be sure to keep us updated on your work... I'm not so interested in the engine mods, but either way keep posting updates!

We are going to keep engine mods to a minimum as this is the boss' daily driver and it is so butter smooth as it is we dont want to wreck it.

LoL, my bad... I just assumed 'skylineshop' meant it was going to be all out power with a couple of nice exterior mods...

I agree its just a comfy car to drive... When its not in the shop :(
Got mine back today after 2 weeks at the mechanic's. I just felt like hugging it, but instead i treated her to some new chrome mirrors

What are the offsets on those wheels? and how much extra room did you get with the custom rear fenders?

welcome! I really liked the yellow R32 GTS-T with Veilside Andrew V wheels you guys had a while back.

15 yr old rule FTW :D

Not sure what the offset is but i have found out they are KOENIG and not WORK wheels.
We got a TON more clearance our guys actuall streched the doors as well, they did an awsome job we are very very happy.

The Body kit is actually an ADMIRATION Type 2 kit
And retails for more like $2100 CAD

http://www.admiration.ne.jp/main.html

And after looking at there site
I will be buying more from them 8).

We also have a white Gloria GT landing on the 19th
And our Mechanic has an IMPUL Pearl white one landing at the end of the month

These cars are great
We just had our cut polished and waxed today
The thing looks like glass.

Would love to see some closeups of the rear fenders in particular.

Sorry for the mixup with the kit... You can buy the knock-offs on Yahoo very cheap tho, not sure on quality. IMO, the two sexiest kits for the Y32 Cedric are the Evolution Exclusive V3 (http://www.evolution.co.jp/exclusive/v3/y32/index.html) and the K-break V-Lux (http://www.k-break.com/vlux/y32cedglo.html <- Best for really low cars)... But as i said, i am really impressed with how the Admiration kit looks on your car!

My car got hit a few hours after i wrote that first reply to you and now i am on the lookout for a kit... I'll see how much my insurance covers ;)

How about early Y32 Cimas?

theskylineshop
11-15-2006, 09:51 AM
The car will be registered soon we are just waiting on the inspection.

I can get the early y32's as well
as long as the car is 15yrs old to the month i can bring it in.

We are pretty happy with the kit, i was a little concerned when people started calling it a knock off because we sure didnt pay for a replica.

Do you guys only canada-register cars you bring in specifically, or what if one were to import a car into the US, and then bring it up there after the fact...in order to then bring it back down here? (Yah, it sounds backwards but I am curious about the going the canadian route.)

I'm interested to hear their response.

I do know that many R32 Skylines are being imported to Canada legally, and then moved south of the border. Its then up to the new owner to figure out how to register it in the US. It sounds like some states are easier than others (eg Florida).

I've heard some are just keeping them insured under a Canadian address. This may not cover them in the event of an accident though.

I would love to get a 140 majesta if there is a loop hole to get it registered in the US.

If you guys are interested in getting the cars into the US please give the owner a call, he takes care of the importing side of things.
