yea i actually fitted 15mm spacers n it looked real nice but it rubbed on the part just above the sideskirt. i would need to get it rolled or trimmed. other than that i have a lot of clearance because i pulled my fenders.

just got spacers on. im at a +15 now. i wanna go maybe +10 or +5 because my fender was pulled out way too much so now i want to fill the remaining gap. i also plan on dropping the car a bit more. pic..

mine is staggered rims.....front 8" and rear 9"
btw if u pull the fender, wud it looks weird? as in merc fender is kinda diff then those jap cars..

my car is not low enough, still got 2 finger..im using 1# rubber spring pad and H&R spring...would it be advisable if i remove the rubber spring pad?
any pros and cons about it? how many inch lower if i remove the rubber pad

i would not really suggest massive pull on the fenders..unless u really know how to pull 'em without destroyin the fender, mine is not pulled, only shave n rolled.. as for ure 2nd question, its not advisable to remove the pad, but if u want to (maybe wrap the springs with tube n duck tapes, most probably the result would be squicky sounds coming out(which is not too cool in merc, since its a lux car), + maybe alignment problems as well i think.hehe not too sure about the alignment problems..

in anyway u modified the suspensions to lower ure merc, all kinds of sh|t start to grow in the car(squicky sounds, tapping sounds n so on)..so its totally up to u to try here n there...from my past exp, i've never removed the pad, n i've got several springs.. my suggestions are if ure not into coilover..juz cut 'em spring or buy several springs n cut 'em with several heights + better shock(aftermarket shock)..

damm, u have lotsa rims...im using H&R spring...

1)any advice on cutting how many coil/inch? will the rubber fit the top of the spring after cutting it?

2)and btw will u get the right stance/height by cutting 4 springs together?

4)any side effects on cutting springs?

5) Im using a Bilstein absorber...Not sure is stock or aftermarket....*its blue color* any recommendation which absorber i shud go for?

6) Ryhi, by lowering ur car that much, when u fetch 3-4 ppl..will it scratch ur inner chassis fender?

yakuza.. make sure you cut the bottom of the coils so the rubber shims still fit onto the springs. people say cutting is bad, but really, you will barely feel a difference. it rides about the same as if they were left uncut. dont really worry about cutting too much, as you can always adjust the height with the spring pads. i do get some rubbing in the rear when i drive fast with a full car, but then again my wheel offset is a +15 right now. if i left it at +30, it would be rub free.

im on springs. a bit bouncy but i think most of it has to do with dead shocks. it does rub a little when turning. im going to have to run a 215/35/19 as my current setup is 225/35/19 on a 8.5" rim.
