I was wondering if you can VIP a Avalon? A 2006-2007 which is equivalent to a GS300. Anyone seen or have any ideas? Please let me know. Also if anyone is looking for toyota or lexus factory parts can check with me. I work for Toyota and I am still new to the VIP scene. Help a brotha out

Not a true VIPcar platform, but can be styled to VIP standards. Do your research here and you will find out a lot of things to make your car look good no matter if it's a true platform or not.
Personally I would like to see an Avalon with good fitting wheels and a very nice stance, cause all I've been seeing out on the roads are the "DUB" type (fistful of wheel gap and chromies).

I'd like to see your Avalon with some VIPstyled rims and flush fitment.
I'm seriously tired of those black on black on black on black on black DUB'd out Avalons...

Are you sure about that? Are Avalon's RWD? last time I checked, it's FWD. There's a HUGE difference between both platforms! So I think it'll be best if you don't compare apples to oranges.
But to answer your question.. if done right, it'll be a bad ass build.

Yep! I think he's probably used to telling people the Avalon is the same as a GS to make a sale at Toyota.
Kinda like how Nissan told me the Altima is the same as a G35 Sedan. You should have seen the look on the dealers face when I told him he was full of SH**T. Car dealers... scum! lol.

I don't understand how an Avalon equals a GS300. Did it become RWD? I'm not trying to be an instigator or anything, just trying to understand.

Oh and another thing, I think it has the similar body lines as the LS460...but again...it will never be RWD.
Avalon...for the lose!

Actually, *:coolsmiley:i am not used to telling people that. I am aware that it is on a different platform because it is a front wheel drive vehicle. *:uglystupid2:I dont really push to sell those for the record *:knuppel2:. In other words, I just wanted to see who has done a VIP style of the car and what could be done to it thats all.

actually, in your initial post you ask:
I was wondering if you can VIP a Avalon?
now you state:

as v8 aristo so rightly stated:

Really off topic but, Mossy dealerships > *. I bought my Maxima from Mossy Nissan back when I used to live in Cali. Their exhaust for the L31 Altimas is really nice too.

Alright guys. Lets stay on topic here. So wait, which year of the avalon are we talking about? In your first post, we were looking at the 05-up edition and now we're looking at the 00-04 avalon? ??? i personally prefer the 05-up avalons. couldnt find much besides suspension.

u think a crown front and rear end would fit (w/ major modifications) on an avalon?

i was thinking the same thing, and after seeing that blue avalon, i was looking into getting that same front lip/ bumper combination on my dads new avalon! If anyone knows who makes that lip/bumper it would be great! thanks

well i called up street image, and that kit is a one off kit which was made custom just for that one avalon! sucks!
the base chassi is the same, only body and floor panels and engine configuration are different. It is the same as the ES series and chasers; same chassi platform setup to a different drivetrain. Weird, but toyota has always done this... So basically you can convert an es250 to a chasser/mark II by getting a front clip and making the driveshaft tunnel bigger, change the floor panels in the trunk to a chaser of the respective year and getting the rear end assy. Lots of work and lots of parts involved... u can say it is a weld in project because you only have to replace the welded panels...
Yes, you can do a VIP avalon. I really think is worth it IMHO.

that's what i was thinking. well, dont have the funds for that kinda project...but would be hella sick...and if i'm not mistaken, the first crown majesta (newer style) stateside.

That blue avalon looks way more Euro than VIP...perfect example of a Japanese euro styled car. It's has mild hints of VIP, but SCREAMS Euro. As far as the chassis itself..I don't consider FWD sedans on the VIP chassis level. Sorry, just how I feel.
