Hey fellas I just wanted to drop a note and a few questions, but I think it would be rude before not introducing myself. My name is Mark and I have been into the automotive sport compact scene for about 10 years. I have done everything from supercharged honda's to 410WHP Dodge's, and even dipped into the euro scene, which was definitely not into me. I currently sold off my 2 240SX's since the drifting scene is getting out of control. I daily drive an 1982 Datsun 200SX, or what you could call an S11. I got turned onto the VIP style honestly by the whole scene, and how it is new and upcoming, unlike many of my auto ventures I have been on. So there is my introduction and I am glad to be a part of this forum, and hope I can be somewhat of a contributor more than a leech. So on with the question.
I have been looking for a Y33, but honestly have a deep down love for the looks of a G50. I like the 94+ since the front end looks a bit more refined. I had my mind set on the Y33 with a few exterior mods, dropped and some nice Work Euroline Sl's. But the more I am getting into the scene, I am leaning towards a G50 1994 because the looks are absolutely jaw dropping. I am wondering if G50 will accept most of my ideas that I had planned for a Y33. I want to get a pretty mild wheel offset and width (front - 19x9 +5 Rear 19x10 +22), and the JIC FLTA-2 coilovers with about 2 degrees of camber all the way around. Other then that, I want it really low and clean. So I guess my questions would be does the G50 have any problems that would lead me to want to get a Y33, since I have heard that the G50 had plenty of problems from some Nissan fanatics I know. And the 2nd question would be can I do the wheels I have mentioned above and lower it to the ground with camber both front and rear, as easily as I could with a Y33?? Your opinions and info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
