Just got some new shoes for the Dub10 today ::) Brabus Monoblock VI 19x8.5/9.5 staggered setup. Going to finish up my Brabus Lip Kit, audio, tint, and sway bars. I will be tracking the car at high speed tracks :D Stage 2 will be throwing in some Recaros, 5 Point Crow Harness's, and Custom half CF half Aluminum Hood and trunk ( it sounds gay, but it'll look good :uglystupid2: ).. stay tuned for more mods :2funny:

still not VIPstyle. I mean, Work Euroline DH's are nice, but there are many other aspects of a car that will give it the VIPstyle look. Brabus Lip kit is def. not VIP... and your ride height is a little too high.

Lol.. well my Work Euroline DH will be in in 2 months, and I guess I could go with the Wald Lip Kit, or Fabulous Kit instead.. Go with some JP Mufflers, Limo Tint, and get some #1 pads so there is not finger gap.. Man, my car IS vip just because it's an E Class.. now I just gotta get the VIP style for the car finished..

That is absolutely wrong. Your car is not VIP simply for the fact that IT IS AN E CLASS BENZ. If this doesn't make sense to you, then you haven't got a firm understanding of VIP cars and the history / culture of VIP car tuning in Japan. Furthermore, I would recomend something different for the lip kit... Brabus is so generic in the US now. Your car as it currently sits looks like 99% of the modified Benz's in the states right now. Thats cool if your all about following trends. However, we here attempt to be a bit more on the cutting edge... we try to push wheel fittments, we are the guys who prove that you can drive a slammed car daily, we are the people that show that you can strech tires and run camber on a daily driver... etc.

Im not trying to be rude or call you out or anything but you have alot to learn and understand so you can start applying VIP themes to your car.

Yes the car is a luxury car but that doesnt make it VIP. Just because you're getting some Euroline DH doesn't mean you're VIP. For me, the Fabulous E-Class looks better than the Brabus version http://www.fabulous.co.jp/products/importcar/E210/.

My car IS VIP. The original cars which were considered VIP were the Lexus LS/GS, Mercedes S-Class/E-Class, Infinity Q45, and another one i'm forgetting. I know what VIP style is.. but having a VIP platform to start with is what makes it true VIP. VIP is a Black or White VIP Platform car, Slammed on usually 20" Dish Rims, Agressive Kit, Limo Tint.. basically what Yakuza Bosses originated doing. Don't start judging me before I start doing any mods, read my fuckin post. I told you that this is stage one, and have told you what I have planned. All I wanted was some input on what everybody thought of the car. It's called a PROJECT for a reason. Fuckin haters ay..

at the end of the day, a vehicle either gives/exudes a feeling of "vip"/"vipstyle", or it doesn't.
no one's said that your car doesn't look nice.* what has been said is that your car does not exude a feeling of vip or vipstyle.
wanting to put on a carbon fiber hood, recaro seats does not help accomplish a goal of exuding a feel of vip.

but who cares?!* it's your car, do what you want.* but if your goal is to achieve a vip look, the aformentioned mods aren't going to help you attain that goal.

All I wanted was some input on what everybody thought of the car.

the car looks nice, but it doesn't give a feeling of vip.

ok.....1st thing is like he said stage 1..... his car will change..... just try and help him to understand vip....2nd his car is a vip car just not vip styled....3rd please dub10 dont use so much profanity in your posts. i know people can be insensitive and make you mad but just dont make this a rated "R" thread or i will lock it, and as for the rest of you like i said just try to be helpful and use some tact, not everyone know alot about vip and wont learn it on their own so they have to be told.....but you can tell them in a nice manner.

Are you in Australia? Your nick sounds like a QLD numberplate and then the effin ay comment made me think... If so then I give you props for modding a benz out here where the prices for secondhand examples are higher than new Lexuses in the states

Look forward to seeing the next stages, esp the work Eurolines.

Btw, one slight correction though, 20"s are very rare with VIP cars in Japan (getting a bit more popular now though). Still, if a mag features a car with 20"s and $25k worth of bodywork, the title will be "Huge 20s dominate this car!"

Still, i guess in most places outside of Japan 20"s are now the entry requirement for getting mag wheels. Heck there was a civic with 20s posted before!

I can see were your frustrations are coming from ,but when you ask the forum for "some input", dont expect everybody to agree with what you say.

So take it for what it is....if your car is still at "stage 1", then show them what "stage 2" will be.

Dont be coming in here and having a hissy fit and telling everybody what VIP is. When you ask for "input".

Other than that, have fun with your project and keep us posted.

Brabus kit looks a bit sporty to me, it'll be interesting to see it on your car with the DHs and more drop than the Brabus cars though

The current "stage one" iteration makes the car look like something I see at least one or two of every day. And I'm sure people in SF or socal see at least 3-5 similar-looking cars every day. So as long as dub10 realizes that it's not vip in our sense of the word right now, and that he will make it more extreme-and thus, closer to vip-later... then that's the way to go

be the adult and just ignore the neg. comments- don't post something and not expect people to say what they think-- good or bad

the car is going well- spend your money the way you like and do what you do- if you want opinions, then post- if not, then don't :)

if it helps, next time just say "i plan on gettin the new wheels soon, show ya then ;)" instead of "euroline.... " so on so on

ANYWHO :D I LOVE VIPSTLYECARS.COM, WOO!

DUB10, were all willing to help you out here, but you have to meet us in the middle. These comments arent ment to be taken personally, but are posted for the purpose of "constructive criticizim."

Now back to the car. :)

I think that the Eurolines wont be proportional to the lines of the car unless you beef up the body. Here are pictures of some VIP kits for the E-Class.

Credential line, which is more on the subtle side of body modification, yet gives the car an aggressive stance.

http://i1.tinypic.com/s1or2u.jpg

Fabulous, which is more radical. (my personal preferance :smitten:)

gold sucks. if you dont like negative comments, dont ask for input on the car, hell, dont post your car.

I guess every forum has one. I do agree though, that the Mercedes tone of gold isn't a great colour...at least not in my books, but definitely don't take this as meaning you can't have a nice gold/taupe car...it just means me and Caoboy will be harder to convince :P

All I wanted was some input on what everybody thought of the car.
and you started getting negative feeback with what you wanted to do with the car, bragging about your rims(which look really stock and who cares if they are braubus) and wanting to throw carbon fiber and aluminium all over the car. then you start crying about it. well guess what, its the internet and SOMEONE is bound to not like your car. what you are doing is not exactly VIP style (say Bippu, becuase it doesnt stand for V.I.P. as most think) its more euro tuner. braubus is not a bippu style company, its a merc company. putting limo tint on the car is not bippu, although its nice, and i have some. gold is not a bippu color, not really. just because you throw work eurolines on the car does not make it a bippu car, there are some 240's around here that have those, not to mention a LOT of people have those rims, and its getting kind of played out. most people around here arent interested in tracking their cars because they are either too pretty, too heavy, or just too low. just because there is a thread with some rich japanese guys dragging their cars doesnt mean everyone has to do it.
in the end, it is still YOUR car, you do what you want with it, there are bound to be haters wherever you post it up. Finish you car. get your fabulous kit, or braubus lip kit, or if wald has one, go with that, its more 'respected' in the bippu scene. all in all, FINISH your car, then post it up. show us what you want with it. please dont put carbon fibre all over it, that would only look good if the car was black. CF on gold is WAY too much of a contrast. if you want VIP seats, rather than recaro's get the ones for junction produce! those are still recaros, but they are from a vip company, and they are heated, and have massagers!
what are you going to do about lowering the car? you said something about a spring set up ? or am i trippin. why not get a coilover's so it would be better with 'tracking' the car, and you can slam the shit outta the car without having to cut springs (which isnt good for tracking a car)

there's your constructive critisism for ya.

I know who you are "Dub10", let's see what you can do with your car this time. And don't feel bad if the photographer passes you by again.* ;D

J/K!

What you really should do is put it together the way you want to...... VIP or not, you are the one that's going to be riding in it everyday.
