Im sort of new to the game, and am clueless on where to order parts from. Any recommendations, and are there any people here who import wheels and such? I have been looking to order from Upgarage, but have NO IDEA on how to go about this. :idiot2:
Check with na-dreams.com there are quite a few others that will be chiming in with several other people and places to check out.

Are you on g35 forums? if you are there, some of the bigger retailers would be able to get you the kind of things you want. It really isnt too hard to find a company who can get Japanese parts for you.
You can also try your local wheel/race shop.

Upgarage rocks. I'm also interested how you can get items from Upgarage in Japan.

If you guys haven't been lurking this site http://www.memoryfab.com is also a big importer with containers coming in every month. BTW the fetchvip site looks so much like a bespoke bulletproof site copy :crazy2:

I have a better question... how many of those places even have any of the things they have listed on their web site? As mentioned time and time again, anyone can copy and paste images from other web sites and from yahoo auctions and say they "have" something... but do they really? the best thing to do to presellers like those is to purchase and pay for an item they supposedly have for sale, then go and buy it yourself from the real seller cuz you know where they're getting it from, and then sue them for not being able to provide you with the goods... win freakin win, baby.

My Weds were through memoryfab. Many of the wheels I wanted previously were listed on the site but were already sold. The wheels listed are at a network of used wheel dealers in Japan. It took a few tries before choosing one that was still available. They were great to deal with I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I don't know about the other companies but Tim and I run www.fetchvip.com and everything on our site is what we either have in stock now or we have already bought and have coming over from Japan. We have several sources for our parts (including yahoo) but as you said, it's not right to put them up for sale until they are actually our parts. (which is why we don't)
I should also mention that besides Fetch, I work at the U.S. office for Ings+1, Top Secret, among others. (so I'm not just someone who came from nowhere and will dissappear) Shawnthemonster will back me up as we have sourced many things for his Estima project and he knows we're legit* ;)

Welcome FetchVIP...
On shipping products from Japan, how long does it usually take to arrive to US shores?

Welcome FetchVIP...

Shipping varies, usually about 4-6 weeks for used parts and 8-12 weeks for new parts. (new parts are usually made to order in Japan) We can get anything used and new, from the popular Japanese companies to the small JDM companies no one has ever heard of.
Memoryfab is located in Union City here in NorCal. They have a huge stock of USED JDM wheels in their warehouse.... not to mention seats, bumpers, misc other things. Feel free to give Dave a call anytime. He has been helping many ppl for quite some time now. Or if you are NorCal, swing by his warehouse and check it out for yourself. That's what I did 2 yrs ago.

Are you sure about that memory fab place? It's one of the places that I always have to wonder about whenever people bring it up cuz a friend was just at the "warehouse" (which is like his parents' chinese electronics facility or something?) within the last year and said there were lots of empty boxes set up to look like stock, but when he bumped into them, they were all empty... and there was some stuff at the warehouse, but nothing the web site said was supposedly there. Only reason i care is cuz i knew of people who got burned before and nothing pisses me off more than vendors that ream new enthusiasts, cuz sometimes that ends up driving away from the whole car game... and it also sucks when you have to fix other shops' mistakes

I and a few of my friends have bought a few items from Memoryfab. You should check their responses on Honda-tech, they have a great rep there. Dave explains that their warehouse is shared between the the two companies so they can save on rent. This place is huge. I actually asked to look at a lot of the wheels and i did not see any empty boxes? I've also been there once to pick up some admiration and g-answer parts and saw them unload a full container.
I think you should always see it in person before judging it, I usually never buy anything expensive unless I visit the place myself or they are something like Tirerack or DiscountTires.

I saw www.na-dreams.com put up in the first reply (as a wheel source) and since im the owner I thought I would share some info. The company is closed right now and we are not taking in any sales. I was running into the same issues that one ton is talking about, its one thing to say hey I can get you this but it will take time and another to have it ready to go. Right now im going back to school and finishing that up and then I plan on coming back to the import scene and sticking around for keeps. I just wanted to let you all know that NA Dreams is closed right now. Good luck on the wheel hunt. OH also, I like the things that www.fetchvip.com has for sale but why is the website not working???????
