you can use your old one, you just have to jump through some hoops. you'll have to reset your password. VSC will send you a new password to your email which you will then use to go to your User Control Panel which will allow you to change it to whatever you want.

i tried that, but couldnt access my old account at all, not from the old panel, and not from the email i recieved.

so i had to make a new one, and lose my post count!! (dammit, i was up to.. 4 i think. lol)
