Opened my hood to change my oil on Monday and noticed it wasnt staying up very long. Seems to me the hood struts are wearing thin. Does tein make an alternative or will I have to go to Infiniti? Also looking at buying the tein lowering springs for the time bieng but I have searched there site and came up with nothing. Im new with the Q and enjoy it very much. Any help is appreciated.

You want aftermarket 'high performance' hood struts? Adjustable shocks maybe?

There are gas recharge places that can recharge any gas cylinder - they usually also do boot struts as well...

ebay is your friend, i got my ls400 hood shocks there for 50 bucks shipped, brand new, it was some aftermarket supplier. they worked perfectly fine, and fit like stock.
