I just bought my car but they only gave me one key/remote. I have an 05 Q45 F50 and I guess its the same style key as the 03-04 M45. I was thinking of buying a new blank key/remote from Ebay and it says I'll need it to get reprogrammed for my car. I know there has got to be a way for myself to do it without the ridiculous labor charge the dealer will ask for. If anyone knows the steps to reprogram please let me know. TIA

Here is an example picture of my key.

i think tyou should just go to the dealer. they have to program it through there computer or something like that. i think if you found something that worked and you tried it and it failed. you would have to program the whole cars computer and you dont wanna pay for that. the car wont be able to start and so on. i think it only cost like 100+ to program it. its better safe than sorry.

well I found the procedure for the older model Q45 cars and you don't have to necessarily reprogram the key...but more program the car to recognize the key. I'm pretty sure its the same way with the newer model but not sure how.

The older model off the top of my head you get in the car and lock the doors and slip the key in and out i think 6 times within 10 seconds and then turn it to the acc position.
