View Full Version : Navigation updates?

I just recently bought a 2002 Infiniti Q45 and the nav isn't so great. I've read somewhere you can buy a newer software to update the system and it also comes with an updated data disc. Has anyone done the update to the system? Is there any big difference. Would you say it's worth the pricey $200+? Is there anywhere else I could get the program besides the dealer? Thanks

a lot of roads have been built in 5 years, it's probably worth it if you have the extra cash.

They sell used Infiniti DVD Navigation CD's on Ebay. Might want to check there.

Well..I'm wondering if the operating system was updated also. I've heard it comes with an update disc for the operating system as well. The map data is less important since in LA/OC the roads don't change too much. The only one would be the change on the 22 fwy that would be useful for me but not worth $200 just for that.

along w/ that are new Points of Interest etc.. usually if you can get a bootleg copy and not pay OEM price, I'd go for it.

I've been looking and it's pretty hard to find it... I put some research into it and its not as simple as copy and paste. There is a method to copying it so the system recognizes it as a regular disc and not a DVD-R

I am looking for this as well. I do alot of traveling. Ive been to 14 different states with my Q this last year and I still get lost in NY from time to time . Try nicoclub.com im sure someone can burn you a copy for like $10-20
