View Full Version : MAE Test fitment 19x10 | 19x11
Decided to test fit some crazy wheels.
Background: these wheels came used from Japan but in such good condition. Only problem is no offsets. Maybe even been rebuilt with wider barrels and rings. Who knows... no stickers or info behind the center caps. So, lets just throw it on.
As you can tell, these are way off. If my OZ Scara's are 27mm front and back, these babys must be cloer to a 10mm offset. :uglystupid2:
Tire sizes are 235/30 & 275/30.
Anyways, thought I share these funny images: :2funny:

Can you try that front 10" wheel in the rear and see how it fits there..? Can you fit a smaller, 245 tire on the 11" also to see how much more clearance it affords you? And any way to easily camber the IS?

Funny how two different websites have two totally different tastes.
But like what I said in CL, I like those wheels and actually inquired about them, but seems like its going to give me the
same amount of work as my current wheels.

No plan at this point. Seems way too aggresive to fit. If the tires comes in contact with the flares.... they will surely fly off. If the offset was a nice 30mm front and back... no problem. Would off been perfect. Unless anyone know of a shop willing to take some material off the back of the hub (looks like a R disc for BBK)

extreme is the key when it comes to wheel/tire/offseet/camber/drop.

I was posting in your thread on CL as well :)
Definitely would need more stretch, lots of camber, machine back of wheel/rotor hats etc extreme fitment is fun!

oh hey, wsup.
yeah... stretch for sure in the rear. that's easy with some 245s... machine off wheel: would need to find a reputatble shop. extreme camber, only whats available stock. No camber plates offered on the SXE10 chassis. major bumper.... and not looking to custom anything at this point.
Its fun, you said it. all for the love of the VIP culture.

If you're in bay area, I believe wheel techniques can still machine wheels, including shaving down mounting pads. But that's more like what you do only when you know for sure you HAVE to run those wheels. So if you have even any doubts... don't do it. And it usually only affords you a few mm, so it's like a semi-last resort step you take when you need that extra few mm after trying almost everything else.

wider flares with side skirts stepped out would really tie that up! but i understand, you have real deal Junction Produce

yeah... last resort would to shave. but doesnt look like i will be goint that route. wider flares would have to be custom and thats not what Im looking for either... so end result, get a LS. =D

i dont think 9/10j +10 fits under stock ucf fenders. but i could be wrong. ucf guys can chime in.

i asked wheel techniques and they told me they wouldn't do it. however they do have the tooling to do it.

thats like my experience with Red Round racing (which overall was great) but i saw the SSR Viennas there, asked sizes and was told the rears were 19x10.5 +25 somewhat modest, but they had like 5" lips, so something wasnt adding up. I asked the dude to double and triple check, came back and said +25. I said, cool im driving up. 45 minutes later i have cash, im at the shop pulling the wheels down and i see the inner barrel label which reads 19x10.5 +5. crap. gotta make sure they'll fit stock fenders. come back again the next day. buy wheels...

those wheels are so perfect now I would be scared to drive on them and wash them !
It reminds me of a set of Work Equip (mesh) that was for sale on here ? I think. I was very close to buying them but they were sold to a buyer in the US instead. The seller thought they were +20 but turned out they were -20 !

I'll let the new owner of the wheels post them for sale if he does decide to sell them... they'd look cool on the IS though, since they'd look just like the pics in the first post...without sticking out so far...

I have a quick question..
With regard to the design, I see lots of other brands that have very similar designs like the SSR Keris and etc...
Curious as to who was the original designer? (which company)
thanks...and man, those are really nice wheels I am very much liking them :)
MAE is the originator of the design.
